The delegation consisted of two competitors; Bart Carpentier Alting and Dudley den Dulk; who came 37th in the two-man bobsleigh.

The Haitian Olympic team included seven athletes participating in track and field, boxing, and judo. More women participated for Haiti in 2008 than at any single Olympic games prior. Although Pierre and Dorival advanced to quarterfinals in their events, there were no Haitian medalists in Beijing. Brutus carried his country's flag at the ceremonies.
Bridget Parker is an English equestrian and Olympic champion for Great Britain. She won a team gold medal in eventing at the 1972 Summer Olympics in Munich, and finished tenth in individual eventing. Parker rode a horse named Cornish Gold at the 1972 Olympic Games. The British team gold medal was later called one of the "30 greatest sporting achievements of all time" by Times magazine.

William Henry Dudley III was an American competition swimmer who represented the United States as a 17-year-old at the 1948 Summer Olympics in London. Dudley swam for the gold medal-winning U.S. team in the preliminary heats of the men's 4×200-meter freestyle relay. He did not receive a medal, however, because under the rules in effect in 1948, only those relay swimmers who competed in the event final were eligible.
Dudley Griffin Wilkins was an American triple jumper. He was United States champion in 1934 and placed eighth at the 1936 Summer Olympics.
