Dumnamene Robinson Dekor (born 1968) also known as Rt. Hon. Dum Dekor is a Nigerian politician who was Deputy Speaker of the Rivers State House of Assembly from 2007 to 2011. He represented Khana II in the 6th Rivers State House of Assembly. On 15 September 2017,he was sworn in as a commissioner-designee by Governor Ezenwo Nyesom Wike and on 20 September,he was assigned to the Rivers State Ministry of Works. [1] [2] Rt. Hon. Dum Dekor was elected to the House of Representatives as member representing Khana/Gokana Federal Constituency of Rivers State since 2019. He is a member of Rivers State Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Dekor attended the University of Port Harcourt and graduated in 1991,obtaining a bachelor's degree in Geography. [3]
Dumnamene Deekor was one time Deputy speaker of Rivers State House of Assembly,and was later (on 15 September 2017) sworn in as Commissioner of works under Gov. Nyesom Wike regime [4] and later ran for the Rivers State House of Representative of which the result is still pending. He is from beeri community in Khana Local Government Area of Rivers State in Nigeria. He is the second son of the family.

Rivers State University, formerly known as Rivers State University of Science and Technology, is a government-owned university located in Diobu area of Port Harcourt, Rivers State, Southern Nigeria.
Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi is a Nigerian politician, who served as the federal minister of transportation of Nigeria from 2015 to 2022 under the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari. He resigned to contest for Nigeria's presidency under the governing All Progressive Congress (APC). He had previously served as governor of oil-rich Rivers State, from 2007 to 2015 and earlier, as speaker of the Rivers State House of Assembly from 1999 to 2007. On 9 April 2022, Amaechi declared interest to contest in the presidential election in 2023. He polled second position in the APC presidential primaries held in June 2022 behind eventual president Bola Tinubu with 316 delegate votes against Tinubu's 1271 votes.

The following is a timeline of the governorship of Ezenwo Nyesom Wike, also known as the Wike administration, from his inauguration as Governor of Rivers State on 29 May 2015 to 29 May 2023.
The First Wike Executive Council was the Executive Council of Rivers State between 5 June 2015 and 24 June 2017. It was led by Governor Ezenwo Nyesom Wike with Ipalibo Banigo as Vice-Chairman. The first set of appointments to the cabinet were made on 5 June 2015. The designees included Kenneth Kobani, Chukwuemeka Woke, Emmanuel C. Aguma, Fred Kpakol, Onimim Jacks, Emmanuel Okah and Opunabo Inko-Tariah. Governor Wike appointed Desmond Akawor, Ambassador to South Korea, to serve as Administrator of the Greater Port Harcourt City Development Authority.
Bathuel Harrison Iheanyichukwu is a civil engineer and architect, who serves as the current Rivers State Commissioner of Works. He was appointed to this position by Governor Ezenwo Nyesom Wike, confirmed by the Rivers State House of Assembly and sworn in on 9 May 2016. He replaces Kelvin Wachukwu, who was suspended indefinitely on 1 April 2016.
The Rivers State gubernatorial election took place on 9 March 2019, concurrently with various other Nigerian state level elections. A rerun of the vote was held in Abua–Odual, Ahoada West, Gokana and Opobo–Nkoro on 13 April. One-term incumbent Governor Ezenwo Nyesom Wike of the People's Democratic Party was eligible to run for re-election. He won in 2015 with 87.77% of the vote.

Tamunosisi Gogo Jaja is a Nigerian politician who represented Opobo–Nkoro in the Rivers State House of Assembly during the 4th, 5th and 6th Assembly. He also served as Majority Leader of the House for two tenures lasting a total of eight years. He was the All Progressives Grand Alliance nominee for Deputy Governor of Rivers State in 2011. He later switched political allegiance, joining the Rivers State People's Democratic Party. He is currently serving as Commissioner of Education in the second Wike Executive Council.

The 2023 Rivers State gubernatorial election will take place on 18 March 2023, to elect the Governor of Rivers State, concurrent with elections to the Rivers State House of Assembly as well as twenty-seven other gubernatorial elections and elections to all other state houses of assembly. The election—which was postponed from its original 11 March date—will be held three weeks after the presidential election and National Assembly elections. Incumbent PDP Governor Ezenwo Nyesom Wike is term-limited and cannot seek re-election to a third term.
Hon Bernard Barida Mikko is a Nigerian politician and businessman from Gokana LGA in Rivers State. He served as a member of the 4th parliament of the Nigerian National Assembly delegation from Rivers state, representing Khana/Gokana constituency from 1999 to 2003. In 2022, Mikko declared his interest to participate in the 2023 Rivers State gubernatorial election under APC, however, Tonye Cole won the primary election and emerged as the party's candidate..
The 2023 Nigerian presidential election in Rivers State will be held on 25 February 2023 as part of the nationwide 2023 Nigerian presidential election to elect the president and vice president of Nigeria. Other federal elections, including elections to the House of Representatives and the Senate, will also be held on the same date while state elections will be held two weeks afterward on 11 March.
