Dundee Central is a constituency of the House of Commons in the UK Parliament. [1] Further to the completion of the 2023 Periodic Review of Westminster constituencies, it will first be contested at the 2024 general election.

The 2023 Periodic Review of Westminster constituencies was the most recent cycle of the process to redraw the constituency map for the House of Commons. The new constituency boundaries were approved by the Privy Council on 15 November 2023 and came into law on 29 November 2023.

On 22 May 2024, Prime Minister Rishi Sunak announced that the 2024 general election would be held on 4 July 2024. The election includes Scotland, with all 57 Scottish Westminster seats to be contested.
