Dunn-Line [1] was a bus operator based in Nottingham, England, with services throughout Nottinghamshire operated from depots in Nottingham and Tuxford. The company also has a presence in the Lincoln area, largely through County Council contracted operations.

Tuxford is a village and a civil parish on the southern edge of the Bassetlaw district of Nottinghamshire, England. It may also be considered a small town as it was historically a market town. At the 2001 census, it had a population of 2,516, increasing to 2,649 at the 2011 census.

The company was also a large operator of National Express services and its coaches could be seen throughout the UK on scheduled express routes.

National Express is an intercity and InterRegional coach operator providing services throughout Great Britain. It is a subsidiary of National Express. Most services are subcontracted to local coach companies. The company's head office is in offices above the Birmingham Coach Station.

In March 2006 Dunn-Line was sold to Veolia Transport. [2] The Dunn family went on to run various aspects of Rotala and Yourbus.

Veolia Transport was the international transport services division of the French-based multinational company Veolia Environnement until the 2011 merger that gave rise to Veolia Transdev. Veolia Transport traded under the brand names of Veolia Transportation in North America and Israel, Veolia Transport, Veolia Verkehr in Germany and with the former name Connex preserved in Lebanon, Melbourne and Jersey.

Yourbus

Yourbus is a bus operator. It runs commercial and tendered local bus services from its base in Heanor.

Veolia sold its Nottingham bus and private hire coach operations to Premiere Travel in January 2011, along with between 30 and 40 vehicles. The following month, its National Express coach work from the city passed to Yourbus. [3]

Transdev (historic) Transdev company before merger with Veolia Transport

Transdev was an international public transport group based in Issy-les-Moulineaux near Paris, France and operating in several countries. Originally created as Société centrale pour l'équipement du territoire in 1955 and developing transportation activities since 1973, Transdev was a subsidiary Caisse des Dépôts et Consignations, a French stated-owned financial institution. On 3 March 2011, the group merged with Veolia Transport, one of its main competitors, into Veolia Transdev. During 2013, Veolia Transdev was renamed Transdev, recognising the planned withdrawal of Veolia Environnement from ownership of the group.
