Durefishan Saleem (born; 13 January 1996) [1] is a Pakistani actress primarily works in Urdu television. She made her acting debut with a supporting role in Hum TV's Dil Ruba and subsequently played the leading lady in Bhaaras both (2020) for which she received an ARY People's Choice Award for New Emerging Talent. [2] Saleem earned recognition with the romantic dramas Kaisi Teri Khudgarzi (2022) and Ishq Murshid (2023). [3]
Durefishan was born in Lahore, Punjab, to Saleem-ul-Hassan, who worked as a director and producer for PTV in the 2000s. Her mother's name is Shumaila Saleem. She has three siblings – two brothers Abdullah and Rohan and a sister Rameen. She obtained her LLB from University College London. In 2019, she moved to Karachi to make her career in acting. [4] [5]
Durefishan made her debut in a supporting role in Dil Ruba for which she was nominated for a Lux Style Awards for best newcomer. [6] Then, she made her lead debut in Bhaaras . [7] After that, she acted in Pardes [8] with Affan Waheed and Juda Huay Kuch Is Tarha . [9]
In 2022, she acted in the love-dramatic Kaisi Teri Khudgarzi [10] opposite Danish Taimoor which gained her wider popularity and recognition. In 2023, she acted in Jurm [11] along with Wahaj Ali then in a antholology-series Siyaah , and the social-drama Jaisay Aapki Marzi opposite Mikaal Zulfiqar. [12] She was also offered to act in Jhok Sarkar along with Farhan Saeed. [13]
Then, she portrayed as Shibra Sulaiman in Ishq Murshid along with Bilal Abbas Khan. [14] In 2024, she acted in the revenge-thriller Khaie opposite Faysal Quraishi. [15] [16] In 2025, Durefishan is going to appear in Sanwal Yaar Piya [17] along with Feroze Khan and Ahmed Ali Akbar which also marks their first project together. [18] [19]
Fishan has also appeared as a guest on various shows. In 2023, she portrayed as Sara in Siyaah . [20] She was placed in Hello Pakistan's HOT100 list, in the "Trailblazers" category in 2020. [21]
