Early life and education

Durefishan was born on 14 January 1996 in Lahore, Punjab to Saleem-ul-Hassan, who worked as a director and as a producer for PTV in the 2000s. [10] She obtained her LLB from University College London. [11] In 2019, she moved to Karachi to make her career in acting. [12] [13]

Career

Durefishan made her debut in a supporting role in Dil Ruba and received a nomination in Lux Style Awards for best newcomer. [14] Then, she made her lead debut in Bhaaras opposite Omer Shahzad and received positive reviews from critics. [15] After that, she acted in Pardes and Juda Huay Kuch Is Tarha . [16] [17]

In 2022, she acted in the love-dramatic Kaisi Teri Khudgarzi [18] opposite Danish Taimoor which made her successful and popular actress in industry. [19] In 2023, she acted in Jurm with Wahaj Ali, Siyaah , and the social-drama Jaisay Aapki Marzi . [20] [21]

After that, she played as a headstrong girl in Ishq Murshid along with Bilal Abbas. [22] In 2024, she acted in Khaie opposite Faysal Quraishi. [23] [24]

Pardes is a Pakistani drama serial directed by Marina Khan and written by Sarwat Nazir. It stars Bushra Ansari, Sarmad Khoosat, Shaista Lodhi, Affan Waheed and Dur-e-Fishan Saleem in prominent roles. Produced by Humayun Saeed and Shehzad Naseeb under Six Sigma Plus, the serial airs double episodes weekly on ARY Digital. The story of the serial revolves around a man who goes abroad to earn livelihood which affects his relationships and especially the lives of his children.

Juda Huay Kuch Is Tarah is a Pakistani drama serial produced by Momina Duraid under banner of MD Productions. It features Dur-e-Fishan Saleem, Nabeel Zuberi and Hasan Khan in lead roles. It aired weekdays on Hum TV at 9pm from 23 August 2021 to 8 October 2021 and completed 31 episodes within two and a half months and was replaced by Duraid's another production, Sila-e-Mohabbat.

<i>Ishq Murshid</i> 2023-24 Pakistani television series

Ishq Murshid is a romantic, light-hearted Pakistani television series directed by Farooq Rind and produced by Moomal Entertainment and MD Productions. It aired from October 8, 2023 to May 5, 2024 on Hum TV and starred Bilal Abbas Khan and Durefishan Saleem in the lead roles. The final episode of the series released theatrically on 3 May 2024, and broadcast on 5 May.

Jaisay Aapki Marzi is a Pakistani drama series that premiered on ARY Digital on 23 August in 2023. Directed by Saba Hameed and written by Naila Zehra Jafri, it is a production of Six Sigma Plus Production. It stars Durefishan Saleem and Mikaal Zulfiqar as leads along with Hira Umer, Kiran Malik, Huma Hameed, and Ali Tahir in major supporting roles.

Memoona Qudoos is a Pakistani actress and model. She is known for her roles in dramas GT Road, Guddu, Farq, Nikah, Kalank, Umm-e-Haniya and Jaisay Aapki Marzi.
