Durefishan Saleem (born 13 January 1996) is a Pakistani actress of Punjabi descent who appears on Urdu television. She made her acting debut in Dil Ruba (2020) [2] as a supporting actress. [3] [4]

She also played in Bhaaras (2020) [5] for which she received an ARY People's Choice Awards. Then, she gained her recognition in Kaisi Teri Khudgarzi (2022) [6] and Ishq Murshid (2023). [7]

Early life and education

Durefishan was born on 14 January 1996 in Lahore, Punjab to Saleem-ul-Hassan, who worked as a director and as a producer for PTV in the 2000s. She obtained her LLB from University College London. In 2019, she moved to Karachi to make her career in acting. [8] [9]

Career

Durefishan made her debut in a supporting role in Dil Ruba for which she was nominated for a Lux Style Awards for best newcomer. [10] Then, she made her lead debut in Bhaaras . [11] After that, she acted in Pardes [12] with Affan Waheed and Juda Huay Kuch Is Tarha . [13]

In 2022, she acted in the love-dramatic Kaisi Teri Khudgarzi [14] opposite Danish Taimoor which made her successful and estiblished actress in industry. In 2023, she acted in Jurm [15] along with Wahaj Ali then in a antholology-series Siyaah , and the social-drama Jaisay Aapki Marzi opposite Mikaal Zulfiqar. [16] She was also offered to act in Jhok Sarkar along with Farhan Saeed. [17]

Then, she portrayed as Shibra Sulaiman in Ishq Murshid along with Bilal Abbas Khan. [18] In 2024, she acted in the revenge-thriller Khaie opposite Faysal Quraishi. [19] [20]

In 2025, Durefishan going to appear in Sanwal Yaar Piya [21] along with Feroze Khan and Ahmed Ali Akbar also marks their first project together. [22] [23]

Fishan has also appeared as a guest on various shows. In 2023, she portrayed as Sara in Siyaah . [24] She was placed in Hello Pakistan's HOT100 list, in the "Trailblazers" category in 2020. [25]

The telefilm is based on a sea encounter inspired from the real incidents of 1971 Indo-Pak War. The film features Zahid Ahmed, Saba Qamar, Affan Waheed, Dur-e-Fishan Saleem, Hammad Shoaib, Arez Ahmed and Shahzad Sheikh in leading roles.

It stars Wahaj Ali, Dur-e-Fishan Saleem and Tooba Siddiqui in lead roles as well as Mohammed Ehteshamuddin, Atiqa Odho, Zhalay Sarhadi, and Tazeen Hussain in supporting roles. The series premiered 28 April 2023 and the last episode was aired on 6 May 2023 on Geo Entertainment.

<i>Ishq Murshid</i> 2023-24 Pakistani television series

Ishq Murshid is a romantic, light-hearted Pakistani television series directed by Farooq Rind and produced by Moomal Entertainment and MD Productions. It aired from October 8, 2023, to May 5, 2024, on Hum TV and starred Bilal Abbas Khan and Durefishan Saleem in the lead roles. The final episode of the series released theatrically on 3 May 2024, and broadcast on 5 May.

Jaisay Aapki Marzi is a Pakistani drama series that premiered on ARY Digital on 23 August in 2023. Directed by Saba Hameed and written by Naila Zehra Jafri, it is a production of Six Sigma Plus Production. It stars Durefishan Saleem and Mikaal Zulfiqar as leads along with Hira Umer, Kiran Malik, Huma Hameed, and Ali Tahir in major supporting roles.

Memoona Qudoos is a Pakistani actress and model. She is known for her roles in dramas GT Road, Guddu, Farq, Nikah, Kalank, Umm-e-Haniya and Jaisay Aapki Marzi.
