The United Nations General Assembly is one of the six principal organs of the United Nations (UN),serving as the main deliberative,policymaking,and representative organ of the UN. Currently in its 77th session,its powers,composition,functions,and procedures are set out in Chapter IV of the United Nations Charter. The UNGA is responsible for the UN budget,appointing the non-permanent members to the Security Council,appointing the UN secretary-general,receiving reports from other parts of the UN system,and making recommendations through resolutions. It also establishes numerous subsidiary organs to advance or assist in its broad mandate. The UNGA is the only UN organ wherein all member states have equal representation.

The Communist Party of Nepal,abbreviated CPN (UML),is a political party in Nepal. CPN (UML) is a communist party in Nepal formed in January 1991 after the merger of the Communist Party of Nepal (Marxist) and the Communist Party of Nepal (Marxist–Leninist). There have been four prime ministers from the party and the party has led the government five times. The party merged with CPN to form the Nepal Communist Party on 17 May 2018 but the new party was dissolved and CPN (UML) was revived by a Supreme Court decision on 8 March 2021.
Nepal Ratna Girija Prasad Koirala,affectionately known as Girija Babu,was a Nepalese politician. He headed the Nepali Congress and served as the Prime Minister of Nepal on four occasions,including from 1991 to 1994,1998 to 1999,2000 to 2001,and from 2006 to 2008. He was the Acting Head of State of Nepal between January 2007 and July 2008 as the country transitioned from a monarchy to a republic.
Yashar Teymur oglu Aliyev is an Azerbaijani diplomat who has been the Permanent Representative of Azerbaijan to the United Nations since 2014. Previously he was Permanent Representative to the United Nations from 2002 to 2006 and Ambassador to the United States from 2006 to 2011. He was also Azerbaijan's first ambassador to Cuba (2006).
Israel–Nepal relations refer to the bilateral ties between the State of Israel and Nepal. The two countries established diplomatic relations on 1 June 1960,making Nepal the third South Asian state to recognize Israel behind Ceylon and India,and the first South Asian state to establish full bilateral ties with it.
Hamilton Shirley Amerasinghe,CCS was a Sri Lankan diplomat and civil servant. He was High Commissioner to India and concurrently Ambassador to both Nepal and Afghanistan (1963–1967) and Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Finance and Treasury and the Ministry of Health. Amerasinghe served as Ceylon's Permanent Representative to the United Nations 1967 to 1980 and served as President of the United Nations General Assembly in 1976. He was also one of the leaders of the negotiations to draft the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea.
