Délices is a village and gold mine in French Guiana, in the commune of Mana. [1] The gold mine is being exploited by the Auplata Mining Group. [1] Délices is one of the biggest placers in French Guiana. [2] Délices is located on the Arouani River which is locally heavily polluted with mercury. [2]
French Guiana is not a separate territory but is both an overseas région and overseas department of France, with the same government institutions as areas on the French mainland. The administrative center is Cayenne.
Inini was an inland territory of French Guiana, administered separately between 6 June 1930 and 19 March 1946, after which all of French Guiana became a department of France. The territory remained governed as a special entity, until 17 March 1969 when it was dissolved into communes, and subject to regular government. Its capital was Saint-Élie. The population of the territory consisted of Amerindians, Maroons, and gold prospectors. The district was named after the river Inini, a major river in the interior of French Guiana which runs east to west, unlike the other major rivers which run south to north.

The Lucifer Dékou-Dékou Biological Reserve is a wilderness area in French Guiana, France. The reserve is located in the communes of Apatou and Saint-Laurent-du-Maroni. It is the largest wilderness area of France, and consists of two separate parts, two mountain ranges covered in tropical rainforest; to the north are the Lucifer Mountains, to the south are the Dékou-Dékou Mountains. Controversially, the Montagne d'Or mine, the biggest mining project in France, is located in between the two ranges.
