He started his political life as the district secretary of All India Students' Federation. Presently, he is the president of motor vehicle workers' union and member of the state council of Communist Party of India in Kerala.[ citation needed ]

He was born on 2 January 1953 at Muthuvana. His father is T.V Balakrishnan Kidavu and mother is E. K Kamalakshi Amma.[ citation needed ]

Vimochana Samaram Anticommunist backlash against E.M.S Ministry

The Vimochana Samaram (1958–59) was an anticommunist backlash against the first elected state government in Kerala, India, which was led by E. M. S. Namboodiripad of the Communist Party of India. Organised opposition to the state government was spearheaded by the Catholic Church in Kerala, the Nair Service Society and the Indian Union Muslim League. Although termed a "liberation struggle", the campaign was largely peaceful by taking the form of statewide meetings and public demonstrations.

T. K. Ramakrishnan was a politician from Tripunithura, Kerala, India. Ramakrishnan won the assembly elections seven times and was the opposition leader in the fifth Kerala Legislative Assembly in 1979. He was in charge of the Home, Excise, Cultural Affairs and Fisheries Departments during the Left Democratic Front administration at different times. He was a Central Committee member of Communist Party of India (Marxist). Com. T. K. Ramakrishnan died 21 April 2006. Com. T.K started his public life in the student movement and later became a trade union activist. He functioned as the State President and Secretary of the Kerala Karshaka Sanghom. Com. T. K was a multi- faceted personality. He had left his mark in the cultural front also. He had also excelled in his role as M.L.A and as a Cabinet Minister in charge of various portfolios like fisheries, co-operation, culture etc.

Binoy Viswam Indian politician (born 1955)

Binoy Viswam is a Rajya Sabha Member representing the Communist Party of India (CPI). He is the national secretary member of CPI. He was the Forest Minister in the Government of Kerala during 2006-2011. He was earlier elected to the Kerala Legislative Assembly from Nadapuram constituency and served as Member, Estimates Committee; Chairman, Assurance Committee; and was one of the five members of the Constituency Delimitation Committee. He is a senior Communist Party of India (CPI) leader and the president of the Kerala Tourism Development Corporation Employees' Federation.

Alappat Sreedhara Menon, known as A. Sreedhara Menon, was an Indian historian from Kerala. He is best known as the State Editor (1958–68) of Kerala District Gazetteers (1961–1975). He served as registrar of the Kerala University from 1968 to 1977, before retiring in 1980.

T. P. Chandrasekharan Indian politician

T. P. Chandrasekharan was an Indian politician who was the founder of Revolutionary Marxist Party (RMP), a breakaway group of Communist Party of India (Marxist). 1967 Kerala Legislative Assembly election

The Kerala Legislative Assembly election of 1967 was held to constitute the fourth assembly in Kerala. This election, which was held after the 1965 one ended up in no government formation, resulted in the newly formed United Front alliance forming the government, while the INC, this time contesting alone was reduced to just 9 seats. E. M. S. Namboothiripad was sworn in as the Chief Minister on 6 March 1967.
