Wizex is a Swedish dansband formed in Osby in 1973. It purchased the rights to the name from a band that started as Ulrik Wittmans Kvintett in 1957. When Ulrik Wittman left the band in 1963 they started to use the name Wizex. When read out the name sounds like "The Six of Us", "vi sex", in Swedish, and it was six persons left in the band when they changed the name. Today's band had six founders and was allowed to purchase the name, and hence use 1973 as the starting point.

Schlager Metal is a 1998 album by Swedish heavy metal band Black Ingvars. On the album, they cover Melodifestivalen songs in heavy metal version. However, the first song, "Cherie", was their own and they performed it at the Swedish Melodifestivalen 1998, where it finished fifth.

"Eloise" is a Swedish-language song written by Gert Lengstrand and Lasse Holm and performed by Swedish dansband Arvingarna. It won the Melodifestivalen 1993 and finished 7th in the Eurovision Song Contest 1993, where it represented Sweden. The country had been one of the favourites to win that year. The highest sets of points, 10, came from Belgium, Austria and Israel, adding up to a total of 89 points.

"De sista ljuva åren", Swedish: The last sweet years, lyrics and music by Jan Christer Eriksson, is a song that Swedish dansband Lasse Stefanz and Swedish singer Christina Lindberg recorded in a duet. It was originally on Lasse Stefanz' 1988 album Livets ljusa sida. The unrhymed lyrics sentimentally describe the love between an ageing couple: Let the last sweet years be the best in our life.

Anders Engbergs was a dansband in Skara, Sweden, reestablished in 1994 when Lotta & Anders Engbergs orkester divided into two bands, Anders Engbergs and Lotta Engbergs, three years after the divorce of husband Anders Engberg and wife Lotta Engberg. Anders Engbergs had also been the name of the pre-split band prior to Lotta Engberg joining it in 1989. One of the more famous singers in its lineup up to 1988 was Stefan Borsch.

Kevin Johio Lucas Rehn Eires, known professionally as Yohio, is a Swedish singer and songwriter. "Gråt inga tårar" is a song written by Åke Hallgren in the dansband Pippis from Hede, and recorded and a released a single by several dansbands in 1974, including Pippis, Dannys and Thorleifs. Pippis also recorded the song on the 1975 album Ordning på torpet.
