EazyDraw is a Mac-only vector graphics program from Dekorra Optics. It has all of the usual vector drawing tools, but also includes features not usually combined (e.g., dimension tools, numerical parametric geometry, mathematical function graphing, image editing, etc.). Originally released in 2003 at the San Francisco MacWorld conference, versions have appeared regularly since. Version 1.7.0 was released in December 2004. Version 9.1.0, released in November 2018, was a major upgrade, and is fully compatible with macOS Mojave. [1]
Several versions are available. In addition to the main macOS version, EazyDraw Retro is a 32-bit version that will run under macOS 10.4.11 through macOS 10.14, and can import many old formats, including PICT, AppleWorks, ClarisWorks, MacDraw, MacDraw II, and MacDraw Pro. [2] A free version for iOS (and iPadOS) was first released in November 2019, with version 1.1 appearing in February 2020. [1]
Export formats include PDF, EPS, SVG, DXF and all the usual bitmap options. [3]
Vector graphics are computer graphics images that are defined in terms of points on a Cartesian plane, which are connected by lines and curves to form polygons and other shapes. Vector graphics have the unique advantage over raster graphics in that the points, lines, and curves may be scaled up or down to any resolution with no aliasing. The points determine the direction of the vector path; each path may have various properties including values for stroke color, shape, curve, thickness, and fill.
Adobe Illustrator is a vector graphics editor and design program developed and marketed by Adobe Inc. Originally designed for the Apple Macintosh, development of Adobe Illustrator began in 1985. Along with Creative Cloud, Illustrator CC was released. The latest version, Illustrator CC 2021, was released on October 20, 2020 and is the 25th generation in the product line. Adobe Illustrator was reviewed as the best vector graphics editing program in 2018 by PC Magazine.

MacDraw was a vector graphic drawing application released along with the first Apple Macintosh systems in 1984. MacDraw was one of the first WYSIWYG drawing programs that could be used in collaboration with MacWrite. MacDraw was useful for drawing technical diagrams and floorplans. It was eventually adapted by Claris and, in the early 1990s, MacDraw Pro was released with color support. MacDraw was the vector cousin of MacPaint.

Cairo is an open source graphics library that provides a vector graphics-based, device-independent API for software developers. It provides primitives for two-dimensional drawing across a number of different back ends. Cairo uses hardware acceleration when available.
A number of vector graphics editors exist for various platforms. Potential users of these editors will make a comparison of vector graphics editors based on factors such as the availability for the user's platform, the software license, the feature set, the merits of the user interface (UI) and the focus of the program. Some programs are more suitable for artistic work while others are better for technical drawings. Another important factor is the application's support of various vector and bitmap image formats for import and export.
