The Capitol Area Historic District is a national historic district located at Raleigh, North Carolina. The district encompasses 25 contributing buildings and was developed after 1792. The district includes notable examples of Classical Revival and Late Gothic Revival style architecture. Located in the district are the following separately listed buildings:

The La Grange Presbyterian Church, also known as the La Grange Rotary Club, is a historic Presbyterian church building located on Caswell Street in La Grange, Lenoir County, North Carolina. It was constructed in 1892, and is a Gothic Revival style frame building.
Jenkinsville is an incorporated town in western Fairfield County, South Carolina, United States, between the Broad and the Little rivers. It is located east of Monticello Reservoir and is near the Virgil C. Summer Nuclear Generating Station. Also in the area is the Kincaid-Anderson House and quarry. The town was incorporated in 2008. Jenkinsville's population at the 2010 census was 46, making it South Carolina's second smallest town.
Old Brick Church, which is also known as Ebenezer Associate Reformed Presbyterian (ARP) Church or First Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church is a church built in 1788 about 4 mi (6 km) north of Jenkinsville on SC 213 in Fairfield County, South Carolina. It was named to the National Register of Historic Places on August 19, 1971. It is one of the few 18th-century churches surviving in the South Carolina midlands.

Ebenezer Presbyterian Church is located near Keene, Kentucky in Jessamine County, Kentucky, United States. The first Ebenezer Church on the site was organized by Presbyterian minister Adam Rankin around 1790. The first church building, a log structure, was replaced by a stone building in 1803.
First Missionary Baptist Church is a historic African-American Baptist church located at 819 Cypress Street in New Bern, Craven County, North Carolina. It was built in 1906–1908, and is a rectangular brick church building in the Late Gothic Revival style. It features a two-stage tower.
First Presbyterian Church and Churchyard is a historic Presbyterian church on New Street between Middle and Hancock Streets in New Bern, Craven County, North Carolina. It was built in 1820, and is a rectangular frame church building with two tiers of windows. It features a tetrastyle pedimented Ionic order portico and projecting four stage tower topped by an arcaded octagonal belfry. During the Civil War, the church was converted into a military hospital by the Union forces.
Rue Chapel AME Church is a historic African Methodist Episcopal church located at 709 Oak Street in New Bern, Craven County, North Carolina. It was built in 1941, and is a rectangular brick church building in the Late Gothic Revival style. It features a gabled nave flanked by corner entrance towers. Also on the property is the contributing parsonage; a one-story, front-gable brick house of the American Craftsman style dated to the 1920s.
St. John's Missionary Baptist Church is a historic African-American Baptist church at 1130 Walt Bellamy Drive in New Bern, Craven County, North Carolina. It was built in 1926, and is a rectangular brick church building on a raised basement in the Classical Revival style. It features a three-stage central entrance tower. It is believed to be the oldest black Baptist congregation in New Bern.
Saint Paul Catholic Church is a Roman Catholic parish in New Bern, North Carolina within the jurisdiction of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Raleigh. Its Main Campus is located at 3005 Country Club Rd. Its historic parish church is located at 504 Middle Street. Although most Masses are held at the main campus, the Parish continues to celebrate Friday Mass at 8 a.m. at the historic church. The Parish also hosts a parochial school, St. Paul Catholic School.
St. Peter's AME Zion Church is a historic African Methodist Episcopal church located at 615 Queen Street in New Bern, Craven County, North Carolina. It was built between 1923 and 1942, on the site of the 1914 church building which was destroyed by fire in 1922. It is a large three bay by seven bay, rectangular brick church building in the Late Gothic Revival style. It features a gabled nave flanked by two-story truncated stair towers. Also on the property is the contributing 1926 parsonage; a 2+1⁄2-story, frame American Craftsman style dwelling. It is known within the denomination as the "Mother Church of Zion Methodism in the South," and the oldest existing African Methodist Episcopal congregation in the South.

It was built between 1900 and 1907, and is a gable-front, rectangular frame church in the Carpenter Gothic style. It is sheathed in weatherboard and features lancet windows and a small frame steeple, with a bellcast spire and ornamental sawn eave brackets along the top of the tower.
Ebenezer Academy, Bethany Presbyterian Church and Cemetery is a historic school building, Presbyterian church, and cemetery located six miles north of Statesville in Bethany Township, Iredell County, North Carolina. The log building was constructed in 1823 and housed Ebenezer Academy. The church building was built about 1855, and is a one-story, three bay by five bay, vernacular Greek Revival style frame building with a low gable roof. Also on the property is the contributing church cemetery with burials dating to about 1785.
First Presbyterian Church is a historic Presbyterian church located at 200 W. Trade Street in Charlotte, Mecklenburg County, North Carolina. It was built in 1857, and is a one-story, Gothic Revival style stuccoed brick building. The original spire was rebuilt in 1883-1884 and the side and rear walls of the church were taken down and a new structure was erected in 1894–1895.
Ladson Presbyterian Church is a historic African American Presbyterian church located at 1720 Sumter Street in Columbia, South Carolina. The religious building was initially a chapel founded in 1838 and, rebuilt in 1896, and is a one-story-over-raised-basement, rectangular red brick building in the Renaissance Revival style. It has a front gable roof and features two brick entrance towers. The congregation was founded in 1838, as an offshoot congregation of the First Presbyterian Church.

Ebenezer Academy is a historic school building located at Rock Hill, South Carolina. It was built about 1860, and is a one-story, rectangular brick structure of simple design. The school was originally associated with Ebenezer Presbyterian Church until Rock Hill public schools were established about 1888 and was leased to York County for an elementary school. The school continued until 1950 when it was deeded back to the church. It is the oldest known school building standing in York County.

It developed between about 1838 and 1949, and includes notable examples of Italianate and Queen Anne style architecture. Located in the district are the separately listed former United States Post Office, Mount Olive High School (Former), Southerland-Burnette House, and Perry-Cherry House. Other notable contributing buildings are the Elms, Mount Olive Presbyterian Church (1916), Carver High School (1941), Wooten & Brothers Building, DeBrutz English House, Center Theatre (1947), Mount Olive Manufacturing Company (1914), Farrior-Wooten House, Mount Olive First United Methodist Church (1911-1913), Mt.
