Ecklak is a municipality in the district of Steinburg, in Schleswig-Holstein, Germany.
Ecklak is located on the periphery of the Wilstermarsch and Kudenseemoor, about ten kilometers northeast of Brunsbüttel and 14 kilometers west of Itzehoe on the Kiel Canal. The federal highway 5 and the railway line from Itzehoe to Brunsbüttel run a few kilometers south of Ecklak. The river of Wilsterau is flowting through the municipaly of Ecklak.

The Marsh Railway is a main line in the state of Schleswig-Holstein in Germany that links the stations of Elmshorn in the south and Westerland on the island of Sylt in the north. It is part of 237 km (147 mi) long route from Hamburg-Altona to Westerland (Sylt) and is listed in the Deutsche Bahn timetables as Kursbuchstrecke 130. The first part of it was opened in 1845 and is one of the oldest lines in Germany.
Itzehoer SV was a German association football club from the town of Itzehoe, Schleswig-Holstein. The club's greatest success was promotion to the tier-one Oberliga Nord, where it spent a single season in 1950–51. It also played in the then-second division Regionalliga Nord from 1965 to 1974.
