Edward S. Conroy (born February 17, 1967) is an American college basketball coach who is currently serving his second stint as the head coach of The Citadel Bulldogs. He previously served as the associate head coach for the Vanderbilt Commodores and as an assistant coach for the Minnesota Golden Gophers. Conroy is a former head men's basketball coach at Tulane University, being hired in April 2010. [1] Conroy was officially relieved of his duties as Tulane head coach on March 14, 2016. [2]
Before joining Tulane, he coached four seasons at The Citadel [1] and three seasons at Francis Marion University.
Conroy announced his return to The Citadel on March 23, 2022. During his first stint as head coach there from 2006-2010, he led the Bulldogs to their first 20-win season in over 30 years during the 2008-2009 season, in which the Bulldogs made the 2009 CollegeInsider.com Postseason Tournament-to date, the only postseason appearance in school history. He was selected as the SoCon Coach of the Year by the league's head coaches and media members. He was also named the NABC District 22 Coach of the Year, CollegeInsider.com Coach of the Year and the Skip Prosser Man of the Year. [3]
His brother, Duffy, is an assistant coach at Tulsa. [4] Ed is also a first cousin to novelist Pat Conroy. [5]

Orlando Henry "Tubby" Smith is an American college basketball coach who last coached the men's basketball team at High Point University, his alma mater. Smith previously served in the same role at the University of Tulsa, the University of Georgia, the University of Kentucky, the University of Minnesota, Texas Tech University, and the University of Memphis. With Kentucky, he coached the Wildcats to the 1998 NCAA championship.
Sidney Rochell Lowe is an American former basketball player and current assistant coach for the Detroit Pistons of the National Basketball Association (NBA). Lowe played college basketball and served as the head coach at North Carolina State University.
Thad Michael Matta is an American college basketball coach who is currently in his second stint as head coach of the Butler Bulldogs men's basketball team, having been head coach of the Bulldogs for the 2000–01 season. From 2004 to 2017, Matta led the Ohio State Buckeyes to five Big Ten Conference regular season championships, four Big Ten tournament titles, two Final Four appearances, and the 2008 NIT Championship. He is the winningest coach in Ohio State history.

Kermit John Davis Jr. is an American college basketball coach who was most recently the head coach for the Ole Miss Rebels from 2018 to 2023. Prior to that, he was the head coach at Middle Tennessee for 16 seasons. His head coaching experience also includes brief stops at Idaho (twice) and Texas A&M.

The Drake Bulldogs men's basketball team represents Drake University, located in Des Moines, Iowa, in NCAA Division I basketball competition. The program is best known for making the 1969 Final Four. The Bulldogs have appeared seven times in the NCAA tournament, making their most recent appearance in 2024.
Charles William Driesell is an American basketball coach who is the boys' varsity basketball head coach at the Maret School in Washington, D.C. Formerly a college basketball coach, Driesell served as an assistant coach under Gary Williams at the University of Maryland, spent six seasons as head coach at Marymount University, and was head coach at The Citadel from 2010 to 2015. He is the son of former Maryland coach Lefty Driesell, and played for his father's team in college. Driesell was named the new boys' basketball coach at the Maret School in Washington, D.C., in the summer of 2015.

They play home games on campus in Devlin Fieldhouse, the ninth-oldest active basketball venue in the nation. The team's last appearance in the NCAA Division I men's basketball tournament was in 1995.

The Green Wave, led by first-year head coach Mike Dunleavy Sr., played their home games at Devlin Fieldhouse in New Orleans, Louisiana as third-year members of the American Athletic Conference. They finished the season 6–25, 3–15 in AAC play to finish in tenth place. They lost in the first round of the AAC tournament to Tulsa.

He played college basketball for the Drake Bulldogs, Minnesota Golden Gophers and Vanderbilt Commodores.
The 2021–22 The Citadel Bulldogs basketball team represented The Citadel, The Military College of South Carolina in the 2021–22 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Bulldogs, led by seventh-year head coach Duggar Baucom, played their home games at McAlister Field House in Charleston, South Carolina, as members of the Southern Conference (SoCon). They finished the season 13–18, 6–12 in SoCon play, to finish in ninth place. The defeated East Tennessee State in the first round of the SoCon tournament before losing to Chattanooga in the quarterfinals.
The 2022–23 The Citadel Bulldogs basketball team represented The Citadel, The Military College of South Carolina in the 2022–23 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Bulldogs played their home games at McAlister Field House in Charleston, South Carolina, as members of the Southern Conference. The Citadel rehired head coach Ed Conroy for his second stint as head coach at his alma mater after the 2021–22 season. This was his fifth season overall as head coach of the Bulldogs.
