Eden is the third studio album by Japanese rock band Luna Sea, released on April 21, 1993. It reached number five on the Oricon Albums Chart, and charted for 19 weeks. [1] In 2000, it was certified Platinum by the RIAJ for sales over 400,000. [2]
To support the album Luna Sea embarked on the fourteen date Search For My Eden tour, followed by its four date encore tour which ended with them headlining the Nippon Budokan. [3]
The album versions of "Believe" and "In My Dream (With Shiver)" are slightly different than the singles' recording. "Believe" was originally called "AI", and is a rewritten version of the earlier song "Conclusion". The song "Providence" was originally titled "Waltz". "Lastly" was re-recorded from their 1990 demo of the same name. In 2000, the band re-recorded "Believe", which was their first single, for the compilation album Period -the Best Selection- . [4]
Eden was remastered and re-released by Universal Music Group on December 5, 2007, it came with a DVD of the promotional videos for "Believe" and "In My Dream (With Shiver)". This version reached number 191 on the Oricon chart. [5]

Luna Sea's second Lunatic X'Mas 2018 -Introduction to the 30th Anniversary- concert at Saitama Super Arena on December 23, 2018 was subtitled Search for My Eden after the album's 1993 tour. There they performed some songs that had not been played since the original tour. [7]
Eden and the band's seven other major label studio albums, up to Luv , were released on vinyl record for the first time on May 29, 2019. [8]

Luna Sea is a Japanese rock band formed in Kanagawa Prefecture in 1986. Due to the use of makeup and costumes early in their career and their widespread popularity, they are considered one of the most successful and influential bands in the visual kei movement. Throughout the mid-1990s they used significantly less makeup, and after a one-year break in 1997, came back with a more mainstream alternative rock style and toned down their on-stage attire. They disbanded in 2000. In 2003, HMV Japan ranked Luna Sea at number 90 on their list of the 100 most important Japanese pop acts.
Deen is a Japanese popular music band that formed in 1992. Members frequently changed until the release of the first album, and from there Deen has had four members: vocalist and lyricist Shuichi Ikemori, keyboardist and leader Koji Yamane, guitarist Shinji Tagawa and drummer Naoki Uzumoto. In January 2000, Utsumoto and in March 2018, Tagawa left the group. The band has sold over 15 million compact discs.

Kiyonobu Inoue, better known exclusively by his stage name Inoran, is a Japanese musician, singer and songwriter. He is best known as the rhythm guitarist and co-founder of the rock band Luna Sea since 1986. He started his solo career in 1997. Luna Sea disbanded in 2000, and he formed Fake? with Oblivion Dust vocalist Ken Lloyd a year later. In 2005 he left Fake? and founded Tourbillon with Luna Sea vocalist Ryuichi Kawamura and Hiroaki Hayama. He rejoined Luna Sea when they reunited in 2010, and in 2012 formed Muddy Apes with bassist Taka Hirose and guitarist Dean Tidey, both from Feeder, and 8otto's vocalist Maeson. In 2011, Inoran became the first Japanese musician to have a signature model guitar with Fender.

Shinya has also done session work for a variety of artists. Luna Sea are regarded as one of the most influential bands in the visual kei scene. In addition to his former pupil Jun-ji, musicians such as Pierre Nakano, Shinya, and Satoyasu Shomura (Alexandros) have cited Shinya as an influence.
