Edgardo "Egay" Tallado (born July 9,1963) is a Filipino politician from the province of Camarines Norte in the Philippines. He previously serves as a Governor of Camarines Norte from 2010 to 2022. He was first elected as governor of the province in 2010 and was re-elected in 2013 as his second term,third term in 2016 and last term in 2019. [1] [2]
On June 15,2015,Liberal Party removed Tallado after he was found “guilty of committing grossly immoral conduct.” [3]
In October 2015,Tallado was dismissed by the Ombudsman of the Philippines. [4] [5]

Roel Ragay Degamo was a Filipino politician who served as governor of Negros Oriental from 2011 to June 2022,and again from October 2022 until his assassination on March 4,2023. He previously served as the province's vice governor from 2010 to 2011,and was a municipal councilor of Siaton from 1998 to 2007.

The Maguindanao division plebiscite was held in the province of Maguindanao,Philippines,on September 17,2022,more than four months after the May 9 national and local elections,after having been postponed from its planned plebiscite in or before August 2021. As required by Republic Act No. 11550,it was conducted to seek the consent of the residents of Maguindanao on the proposal to divide the province into two separate provinces that will henceforth be named Maguindanao del Norte and Maguindanao del Sur.

All provinces will elect their provincial governors for three-year terms,who will be inaugurated on June 30,2022 after their proclamation. Governors that are currently serving their third consecutive terms are prohibited from running as governors.
