Edvard Huupponen (1 December 1898 4 January 1977) was a Finnish wrestler. He competed in the freestyle featherweight event at the 1924 Summer Olympics. [1]

The men's triple jump, also known as the hop, step, and jump, was a track and field athletics event held as part of the Athletics at the 1912 Summer Olympics programme. The competition was held on Monday, July 15, 1912. Twenty athletes from eight nations competed. NOCs could enter up to 12 athletes. The event was won by Gustaf Lindblom of Sweden, the nation's first medal in the men's triple jump. Georg Åberg and Erik Almlöf also medaled for Sweden, completing a sweep—previously accomplished twice by the United States in 1900 and 1904.

Edvard Šoštarič was a Yugoslav football referee from Slovenia. He is best known for having been selected as one of 22 referees to officiate in the 1984 Olympics football tournament, where he supervised the group match between Morocco and Saudi Arabia played at the Rose Bowl stadium in Pasadena.

Edvard Vilhelm "Eetu" Westerlund was a Greco-Roman wrestler from Finland. He competed at the 1924, 1928 and 1936 Olympics and won a gold medal in 1924 and a bronze in 1928. He collected the same pair of medals at the world championships in 1921–22. Domestically Westerlund competed both in Greco-Roman and freestyle wrestling and won three titles: in 1927 in Greco-Roman lightweight, in 1929 in freestyle lightweight and in 1936 in Greco-Roman light-heavyweight. His brothers Kalle and Emil were also Olympic wrestlers.
