Effrosyni Gouda (born 15 September 1984) is a Greek former synchronized swimmer who competed in the 2004 Summer Olympics, held in Athens. [1]

The Olympisch Stadion or Kielstadion was built as the main stadium for the 1920 Summer Olympics in Antwerp. For those games, it hosted the athletics, equestrian, field hockey, football, gymnastics, modern pentathlon, rugby union, tug of war, weightlifting and korfball (demonstration) events. Following the Olympics it was converted to a football stadium. Its current tenant is K Beerschot VA, a Belgian football club. There are no remnants of the Olympic athletics track.

Johannes Jacobus Posthumus was a Dutch gymnast who competed in the 1908 Summer Olympics. He was part of the Dutch gymnastics team, which finished seventh in the team event. In the individual all-around competition he finished 66th.

Ted-Jan Bloemen is a Dutch-Canadian long track speed skater. He started competing for the Canadian national speed skating team during the 2014–15 season, but before that, he competed for the Netherlands in international competitions. Bloemen primarily competes in long-distance events as well as team pursuit events. He is a former world record holder for the 5,000 m (6:01.86), set in Salt Lake City, and was the Olympic record holder for the 10,000 m (12:39.77), set when he won gold at the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang. Bloemen also won a silver medal in the 5,000 m at the Pyeongchang Olympics, the first Canadian man to medal in the distance since 1932. He has won a silver in 10,000 m and one bronze and silver in the team pursuit at the World Speed Skating Championships.

Cornelis "Nelis" van Dijk was a Dutch boxer who competed in the 1920 Summer Olympics. He was born in Gouda and died in Rotterdam. In 1920 he eliminated in the first round of the flyweight class after losing his fight to the upcoming silver medalist Anders Pedersen.

Gerrit Schulte was a Dutch professional track bicycle racer. Between 1940 and 1960 he won 19 six-day races out of 73 starts and was one of the dominant Six days racers of his time. Schulte was as well successful in track pursuit, becoming national champion ten times, European champion twice and world champion once, in 1948, when he beat Fausto Coppi in the final. He was also successful as a road race cyclists, becoming national champion three times and winning a stage in the 1938 Tour de France. Since 1955, the Gerrit Schulte Trophy has been awarded by the national federation to the best professional rider in the Netherlands.

Froukje Wegman is a Dutch rower. She is notable for having won a bronze medal in Rowing at the 2004 Summer Olympics – Women's eight.

Since the Netherlands boycotted the Moscow Olympic Games Van den Hondel represented his National Olympic Committee at the 1980 Summer Olympics, which several countries boycotted, in Tallinn, USSR under the Dutch NOC flag. With Henk van Gent as helmsman, Van den Hondel took the 4th place in the 470.

Diaaeldin Kamal Gouda Abdelmottaleb is a heavyweight freestyle wrestler from Egypt. In 2016, he won the African Championships and competed at the Rio Olympics, losing in the second bout to Komeil Ghasemi.

Said Khalifa Gouda was an Egyptian male weightlifter who competed in the featherweight and Lightweight class and represented Egypt at international competitions. He won the gold medal at the 1951 World Weightlifting Championships in the 60 kg category. He also competed in the men's featherweight event at the 1952 Summer Olympics.

Johannes "Joop" Cabout was a Dutch male water polo player. He was a member of the Netherlands men's national water polo team. He was part of the 1948 Olympic team, that won the bronze medal, as a reserve. He competed for the team at the 1949 Trofeo Italia and 1950 European Championships where the team won the gold medal. He competed with the team at the 1952 Summer Olympics. The Dutch team was heavily favored for a medal, but were eliminated after a controversial match against Yugoslavia. During his whole career he played for the water polo club GZC in Gouda. Cabout won the Dutch title in 1954 and 1957 with the team.

Maha Muhammad Abdalsalam Gouda is an Egyptian Olympic diver. She represented Egypt at 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro. She qualified to represent Egypt again at the 2020 Summer Olympics in the Women's 10 metre platform event.
