The Chongqing Rail Transit is the rapid transit system in the city of Chongqing, China. In operation since 2005, it serves the transportation needs of the city's main business and entertainment downtown areas and inner suburbs. As of January 2021, CRT consisted of eight lines, with a total track length of 370 km (230 mi). Lines 1, 4, 5, 6, 10 and the Loop line are conventional heavy-rail subways, while Lines 2 and 3 are high-capacity monorails. To keep up with urban growth, construction is under way on Lines 9, 18 and Jiangtiao line, in addition to extensions to Lines 1, 4, 5, 6, 10 and the Loop line. A network of 18 lines is planned.
The Egongyan Bridge is a suspension bridge which crosses the Yangtze River in Chongqing, China. Completed in 2000, it has a main span of 600 metres (2,000 ft). The connects Nan'an District east of the Yangtze River with Jiulongpo District to the west. Originally, the bridge was built with to be six lanes wide with a pedestrian walkway on each side but was expanded to eight lanes in 2013. The expansion removed the walkways. Pedestrian connectivity was restored in 2019 with the opening of the Egongyan Rail Transit Bridge downstream which has a pedestrian walkway.

Some classifications also include non-rail bus rapid transport. China has the world's longest urban rail transit system that was more than 7,500 km long, as of 2020.
Line 11 is a northwest–southeast line of the Shanghai Metro network. Since October 2013 Line 11 serves Kunshan city, making it is the second intercity metro in China after the Guangfo Metro and the first that crosses a provincial boundary. Services run at 5-minute intervals from either Huaqiao or North Jiading to Disney Resort. With 82.4 km, this line is the longest in Shanghai Metro. The line is colored brown on system maps.
Suzhou Rail Transit, also known as Suzhou Metro, is a rapid transit system serving the city of Suzhou, in Jiangsu Province, China. Line 1 began operation on April 28, 2012. Line 2 opened on December 28, 2013. Another five lines are also planned to be completed before 2020. Upon completion, the system will be about 140 kilometers long and have 109 stations. Line S1 of Suzhou Metro connecting neighboring Kunshan city and beyond to the Shanghai Metro is currently under construction.
Line 15 of the Shanghai Metro is a metro line in the city of Shanghai that opened on 23 January 2021. The line begins at Gucun Park in Baoshan District at its northern end, and terminates at Zizhu Hi-tech Park in Minhang District at its southern end, via Shanghai West Railway Station and Shanghai South Railway Station. It will be 42.3 kilometres (26.3 mi) in length and have 30 stations. Line 15 interchanges with lines 1, 2, 3, 7, 9, 11, 12, 13 and 14. The line is the 4th Shanghai Metro line to be fully automated and driverless, after Line 10, Pujiang line and Line 18.
Ningbo Rail Transit, also known as the Ningbo Metro, is a rapid transit system serving the city of Ningbo, Zhejiang and its suburbs. Six metro lines are being built inside the urban area of Ningbo, serving Haishu, Jiangbei, Zhenhai, Beilun and Yinzhou. The first phase of Line 1 started construction in June 2009 and began to service the public on May 30, 2014. Line 2 began service on September 26, 2015.
CRT Line 6 is the second heavy rail subway line in Chongqing. It opened with provisional revenue service on September 28, 2012, and connects Nan'an, Yuzhong, and Jiangbei districts in central Chongqing.
The Guiyang Metro is a rapid transit and tram system in the city of Guiyang, Guizhou province, China. It is operated and branded as Guiyang Urban Rail Transit (GYURT). A short northern section of Line 1 opened on 28 December 2017, with the full line entering operation on 1 December 2018. Line 2 is due to open in 2021 and Line 3 in 2022 or 2023. Line S1 and Line T2 are also under construction. Lines 4, S2, S3, S4, and Line G1 which passes through the Gui'an New Area, are in the planning stage.
Nanning Metro or Nanning Nanning Rail Transit (NNRT) is a rapid transit system in Nanning, the capital of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. Line 1 officially started construction on December 29, 2011. The first 11.2 km section, from Nanhu to Nanning East railway station, began operation June 28, 2016. The line opened fully on December 28, 2016. It is 32.1 km long, with 25 stations. Line 2 started construction in 2012 and was completed on December 28, 2017. Currently, Lines 3, 4, 5 and an extension of Line 2 are under construction. It is planned that by 2021 there will be four vertical and four horizontal lines totaling 252 km of subway. The system is projected to carry over 5 million passengers per day.
Lanzhou Metro or Lanzhou Rail Transit is a rapid transit system in Lanzhou, Gansu, China.
Several cities in China had tram systems during the 20th century; however, by the end of the century, only Dalian, Hong Kong and Changchun remained extant. However the 21st century has seen a resurgence in tram transport systems as China attempts to combat with urban traffic congestion and pollution.
Yinfeng line of Ningbo Rail Transit (宁波轨道交通鄞奉线), also known as Ningbo–Fenghua Intercity Railway, Ningfeng line or Line S3, is a rapid transit line in Ningbo. It starts from Gaotang Bridge station in Yinzhou District and ends in Jinhai Road station in Fenghua District. Through train service is operated on both Line 3 and the Ningfeng Line. Construction of Ningfeng Line started on December 30, 2015. The initial section of the line opened on September 28, 2019. The remaining section of the line will open on September 27, 2020.
Line 5 of CRT is a rapid transit line in Chongqing, China, which opened on 28 December 2017.
Loop line of CRT is a rapid transit loop line. The northeastern section was opened on December 28, 2018. The southern section with the Egongyan Rail Transit Bridge opened on December 30, 2019. The remaining section opened on January 20, 2021. It runs through two important railway stations, Chongqing North Railway Station, and Chongqing West Railway Station.
Line 4 of Chongqing Rail Transit is a rapid transit line in Chongqing, China. In June 2018, debugging of the first segment of Phase I commenced. The line began operating on December 28, 2018. Since June 2020, some rapid trains through operate from Line 4 into the Loop line.
Bishan is a station on Line 1 of Chongqing Rail Transit in Bishan District, Chongqing Municipality, China. The station opened on December 30, 2019. It is CRT's first station to be built outside of Metropolitan Chongqing.
