Kabaddi is a contact team sport with origins in Ancient India. Played between two teams of seven players, the objective of the game is for a single player on offence, referred to as a "raider", to run into the opposing team's half of a court, touch out as many of their defenders as possible, and return to their own half of the court, all without being tackled by the defenders, and in a single breath. Points are scored for each player tagged by the raider, while the opposing team earns a point for stopping the raider. Players are taken out of the game if they are touched or tackled, but are brought back in for each point scored by their team from a tags or tackle.

The WSF event has been held since 1997, being Australia 2019 last edition.
Amir Wagih Mohamed is a professional, top squash coach and former professional squash player. He represented Egypt at six World Team Squash Championships from 1989 to 1999. During the 1999 Men's World Team Squash Championships Wagih helped Egypt win the title for the first time.

It conducts the National Squash Championship, and promotes the game through the state level squash bodies, and provides training facilities and selects the squad for the Indian team. It also chooses coaches for the national team.
