Eid Hassan Doha is an Egyptian Emeritus Professor of Numerical Analysis and Approximation Theory at the Cairo University. He is an elected fellow of African Academy of Sciences, the head of the department of Mathematics at Cairo University and the Head of Promotion Committee of Research Assessment for Associate Professorships – Supreme Council of Egyptians Universities. Eid Hassan Doha was born on November 14, 1945. He attended University of Cairo from B.Sc. to PhD level. He obtained his B.Sc. in Pure and Applied Mathematics in 1967. He obtained his M.Sc and PhD in 1972 and 1977 respectively. [2]
Eid Hassan Doha began his career in 1967 as a demonstrator of mathematics at the Faculty of Science, University of Cairo in Egypt. He became as assistant lecturer after his Master's programme in 1972. After his PhD, he became a full lecturer in the same university. However, he left the University of Cairo for Al-Khartoum, Sudan, a branch of the University of Cairo in 1979 and spent a year. In 1980, he moved to Emirates University, Al-Ain in the United Arab Emirates where he became associate professor after three years (1983). In 1990, he moved to Female Education, Girl’s College of Education, Jeddah, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia where he became professor of Numerical Analysis and Approximation Theory. [2]
Eid Hassan Doha became a member of the Mathematical and Physical Society of Egypt in 1977 and a member of the American Mathematical Society in 1990. In 1993, he became a member of the Egyptian Mathematical Society and eventually became their Vice president. He was the Chairman of the Egyptian National Evaluation Committee for promoting assistant professors in Mathematics from 2004 to 2006. Also in 2004, he was elected as a member of the Egyptian National Committee of Mathematics (Academy of Scientific Research and Technology, Cairo). He was awarded an Excellence Research Paper by the Egyptian National Committee of Mathematics (Academy of Scientific Research and Technology, Cairo, Egypt in 2005. He became a Fellow of the African Academy of Sciences in 2006. He received Excellence Scientific Research in Basic Sciences" from Cairo University in 2007 and a member of the International Association for Mathematics and Computers in Simulation. [2]
Ahmed Hassan Zewail was an Egyptian and American chemist, known as the "father of femtochemistry". He was awarded the 1999 Nobel Prize in Chemistry for his work on femtochemistry and became the first Egyptian and Arab to win a Nobel Prize in a scientific field, and the second African to win a Nobel Prize in Chemistry. He was the Linus Pauling Chair Professor of Chemistry, a professor of physics, and the director of the Physical Biology Center for Ultrafast Science and Technology at the California Institute of Technology.
Ismail Serageldin, Founding Director of the Bibliotheca Alexandrina (BA), the new Library of Alexandria, inaugurated in 2002, is currently, Emeritus Librarian, and member of the Board of Trustees of the Library of Alexandria. Hassan Aref, was the Reynolds Metals Professor in the Department of Engineering Science and Mechanics at Virginia Tech, and the Niels Bohr Visiting Professor at the Technical University of Denmark.
Elsayed Elsayed Wagih PhD, DIC, CIDTT is an Egyptian professor of virology and biotechnology and vice President of the Arab Society for Biotechnology. He was born in Alexandria, Egypt. Wagih is well known for having invented Zymoblot, the fastest available microtechnique to detect gene expression and/or enzyme activity in any biological specimen as well as the ”Mirror Image in vivo electro-blotting technique” that detects virus particles or any foreign protein in any tissue. He also discovered two viruses reported under his name in the world data bank of viruses, the first was named "Peanut Chlorotic Ringspot Virus (PCRV)" and the second was called “Peanut Top Paralysis (PTPV)".
Dr. Magued Osman is the CEO and Director of the Egyptian Center for Public Opinion Research "Baseera," which ran the only transparent public opinion surveys by phone for the first Egyptian Presidential elections in 2012. Baseera implemented also the first exit poll in the middle east. Dr. Osman is a member of Egypt National Council for Women. Dr.Osman is acting as the chairman of Telecom Egypt (we), the main landlines service provider in Egypt, since 2016.
Essam Eldin Khalil Hassan Khalil is an Egyptian Mechanical Engineer. Khalil is a professor in the mechanical power department at Cairo University. He is the author and co-author of several international researches in HVAC field. He has many years of experience in delivering courses in air-conditioning to University, college students, to building managers and maintenance staff in both the industrial and commercial sectors in Egypt, the Arabian countries and worldwide. He has been selected by various universities and international organisations to lecture to graduate and post graduate level engineers, managers, supervisors and operating personnel on the subjects of HVAC design and optimisation, HVAC system management, energy utilization, waste heat recovery, plant management and other related subjects.
Peter Onumanyi is a Nigerian mathematician. He was born in 1951 in Okene, Nigeria. A graduate of the University of Ibadan and Imperial College, London, he is a fellow and past president of the Mathematical Association of Nigeria. He has been the Head of the Mathematics department, Dean of the Faculty of Natural Sciences, and Deputy Vice-chancellor (Academic) of the University of Jos.

He is an elected member and the former Vice president of African Academy of Sciences. A fellow of the British Institute of Physics, a founding member and the first president of the Egyptian Mathematical Society.
Attia Abdel Salam Ashour was an Egyptian emeritus professor of Applied Mathematics at Cairo University. He was a former president of the Arab Union of Mathematical and Physics. A former Director of Advanced Schools on the Physics of the Earth. He was an elected member of World Academy of Sciences, a founding member of African Academy of Sciences and he was also a Knight in the National Merit Order in France.
Ali S. Hadi is an Egyptian American emeritus professor at Cornell University, USA. He was a former vice provost and director of graduate studies and research at American University, Cairo. He is the chairman and the founder of the Actuarial Science Program at the American University in Cairo. He is an elected member of the International Statistical Institute, the American Statistical Association and African Academy of Sciences.
Nasser Hassan Sweilam is an Egyptian professor of numerical analysis at the Department of Mathematics, Faculty of Science, Cairo University. A member of the African Academy of Sciences. A former Head of the Department of Mathematics, an ex-director of the Information Technology Unit and currently the Director of the E-learning Unit, Faculty of Science of the institution.
