Eko FM was established in 1997 as the sister station of Radio Lagos. [1] [2]

EkoFM was created to provide information to Yoruba people.

Many Lagosians rely on this channel to keep them updated, as it broadcasts in both English and local languages.

The government's reach is enormous, and critical messages are sent to the public. [3]

The current General Manager of Eko FM 89.7 is Mr. Olajide Isiaka Lawal [4]

Lagos State University, also known as LASU, is located in Ojo, a town in Lagos State, Nigeria. The university caters for over 35,000 students. The University was established during the Administration of Late Lateef Kayode Jakande. The university offers diploma, degree and post graduate programmes, including an MBA programme. LASU was ranked among the top 600 universities in the world by in the Times Higher Education World University Rankings for 2020. On 23 June, 2021 LASU emerged as the best young university in Nigeria having been below the age of 50 years to be added. Times Higher Education ranked the Lagos State University as the second best university in Nigeria on the 2 September 2020, and was the only state university included in the rankings for 2022. The university has attracted international funding, including for the establishment of a World Bank Group Africa Centre for Excellence on Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics.

Kadri Obafemi Hamzat is a Nigerian politician who serves as the Deputy Governor of Lagos State. He was born in Lagos, Nigeria into the family of Late Oba Mufutau Olatunji Hamzat and Late Alhaja Kehinde Hamzat from Iga Egbe, Lagos state. His father, Late Oba Mufutau Olatunji Hamzat served as a member of the Lagos State House of Assembly and as a Commissioner for Transportation in the state before becoming the Vice-chairman SW of then Alliance for Democracy(AD). Olatunji Hamzat became the Lagos West Senatorial District leader of the Action Congress and a crowned king through his maternal royal lineage.

The Lagos State Ministry of Works and Infrastructure was established in 1967, shortly after the state was established.

Radio Lagos 107.5 FM began operations in 1977 as an offshoot of the Nigerian Broadcasting Corporation (NBC). It is the first state-owned FM radio station in Lagos State.

He is a graduate of the University of Lagos, as well as the London Business School, Lagos Business School and the John F. Kennedy School of Government. Before his gubernatorial ambition, he was the managing director and CEO of Lagos State Property Development Corporation (LSPDC).

The 2019 Lagos gubernatorial election was conducted on March 9 to choose the Governor of Lagos State. The election was held concurrently with various state level elections. Incumbent APC Governor Akinwunmi Ambode lost to the APC flag bearer Babajide Sanwo-Olu at a direct primary election in October 2018 and hence ineligible to run for second term under APC. Babajide Sanwo-Olu won in a landslide against Jimi Agbaje of the PDP who had previously run unsuccessfully for Lagos state governor twice. From 1999, Lagos state has been governed by AD, then ACN, two parties which subsequently formed part of the coalition that birthed the APC in 2013.

The 2023 Lagos State gubernatorial election will take place on 11 March 2023, to elect the Governor of Lagos State, concurrent with elections to the Lagos State House of Assembly as well as twenty-seven other gubernatorial elections and elections to all other state houses of assembly.
