Electronic Commerce Research is a peer-reviewed academic journal published by Springer Science+Business Media. The journal focuses on disseminating the latest findings in all facets of electronic commerce. A sampling of topics published in the journal as they relate to the Internet and electronic commerce include intelligent agents technologies and their impact; economics of electronic commerce; virtual electronic commerce systems; service creation and provisioning; supply chain management through the internet; collaborative learning, gaming, and work; and workflow for electronic commerce applications.
The journal is abstracted and indexed in DBLP, [1] Research Papers in Economics , [2] Scopus, [3] and the Social Sciences Citation Index. [4] According to the Journal Citation Reports , the journal has a 2023 impact factor of 3.7. [5]
Scopus is a scientific abstract and citation database, launched by the academic publisher Elsevier as a competitor to older Web of Science in 2004. An ensuing competition between the two databases has been characterized as "intense" and is considered to significantly benefit their users in terms of continuous improvent in coverage, search/analysis capabilities, but not in price. Networks and Spatial Economics (NETS) is an international academic journal devoted to the mathematical and numerical study of economic activities facilitated by human infrastructure, broadly defined to include technologies pertinent to information, telecommunications, the Internet, transportation, energy storage and transmission, and water resources. Because the spatial organization of infrastructure most generally takes the form of networks, the journal encourages submissions that employ a network perspective.
