Elizaberth Chipeleme (born 4 August 1992) is a Zambian badminton player. [1] [2]

Career

In 2013, she represented University of Zambia compete at the Summer Universiade in Kazan, Russia. [3] She was the runner-up at the 2015 Botswana International tournament in the women's doubles event teamed-up with Ngandwe Miyambo. They were defeated by Ogar Siamupangila and Grace Gabriel in the straight sets. [4] The pair were runners-up at the 2016 Zambia International tournament, [5] and semifinalists at the 2016 Botswana International. [6] In the mixed doubles event, she was partnered with Topsy Phiri, and they were finalists at the 2016 Ethiopia International tournament. She was also the women's singles finalist at the Top 16 Badminton Championship in Lusaka. In the final, she was defeated by Ngandwe Miyambo in straight sets. [7] Chipeleme was a part of the Zambian team to win bronze at the 2017 African Badminton Championships. [8] [9]

She also the runner-up at the Orléans International in the women's doubles event and Swiss International in the mixed doubles event. In 2017, she became the runner-up at the Estonian International partnered with Léa Palermo. She competed at the 2018 Mediterranean Games, clinched the women's doubles gold with Palermo. In 2019, she captured a bronze medal at the European Games in the mixed doubles event with Thom Gicquel. Delrue and Gicquel reached a career high as world number 10 in the BWF World ranking in 9 March 2021. She competed at the 2020 Summer Olympics.

Ogar Siamupangila is a Zambian badminton player. She was the bronze medalist at the 2007 All-Africa Games in the mixed doubles event partnered with Eli Mambwe. Siamupangila represented her country at the 2006, 2010 and 2018 Commonwealth Games.

Shama Aboobakar is a Mauritian badminton player.

Menna El-Tanany is an Egyptian badminton player. She was part of the national team that won the mixed team title in 2017 African Championships.

Jovica Rujević is a Serbian male badminton player, and a former South Africa national badminton team. In 1996, he was the semi finalist at the South Africa International tournament in the men's doubles event with Dave Calvert. In 2013, he reach the final round at the Botswana International tournament in the men's doubles event partnered with Andries Malan. The duo became the runner-up after defeated by the Slovenian pair in the rubber game. At the Balkan Badminton Championships, he won the bronze medal in the mixed team event. He and Malan also the semi finalist at the 2016 South Africa International tournament. He also play for the Novi Sad badminton club, and in 2013 he won the men's and mixed doubles title at the Vojvodina Championship, and also became the runner-up in the men's singles event.

Sandra Rujević is a Serbian badminton player. She was the women's doubles national championships from 2010-2013 and in the mixed doubles in 2010. In 2013, she won the international tournament in the women's doubles event partnered with Elme de Villiers of South Africa at the Botswana and South Africa. At the Balkan Championships, she won the bronze medal in the mixed team event.

Gifty Mensah is a Ghanaian badminton player who joined the national team in 2010. In 2011, she plays for Accra, compete at the Ghana Independence Day Open Championship. She won a gold in the women's doubles and a silver in the singles. At the same year, she was selected to represent her country to compete at the All-Africa Games. Teamed-up with Daniel Sam, they were the finalist at the 2015 Nigeria International tournament. In 2016, she was the runner-up at the Rose Hill International tournament in the mixed doubles event with Emmanuel Donkor, after battling with the Mauritanian Edoo and Louison. Chongo Ezra Mulenga is a Zambian male badminton player. In 2013, he won the men's singles title at the Ethiopia International tournament. In 2014, he placed third at the Uganda International in the mixed doubles event partnered with Ogar Siamupangila. Mulenga represented his country at the 2014 and 2018 Commonwealth Games.

Christo Popov is a French badminton player who affiliate with Fos club. He was the boys' doubles European U15 and U17 Junior Champions, also won the boys' singles silver medals at the 2018 European and 2019 World Junior Championships. He reached a career high as boys' singles World Junior number 1 in January 2020. He then clinched the boys' singles title at the 2020 European Junior Championships.

Ramatu Yakubu is a Nigerian badminton player. Yakubu won bronze medals at the 2018 African Youth Games in the girls' singles and team events.
