Ellie Jane Price (born 23 March 1983) is a British television political journalist.
Price was born in Haywards Heath, West Sussex. She has a younger sister (born 1986). She grew up in East Grinstead, where she took part in athletics events as a sprinter. [1] She attended the independent Notre Dame School, now called Lingfield College, gaining all A and A* in her GCSEs in 1999. [2]
She studied for a BSc in Politics at the University of Bristol from 2001 to 2004, and for a PgDip in Broadcast Journalism at Cardiff University from 2005 to 2006.
From 2007 to 2010 she worked for the Press Association (PA).
She worked for ITV from October 2010 to December 2012. She worked for ITV Anglia, for ITV News Anglia in Norwich.
She joined the BBC as a political reporter in February 2012, and reported on the 2015 general election. [3] She worked at BBC South East.
In 2021 Price was recommended by the government interview panel to take the role of Prime Minister's spokesperson; this decision was overturned and the role instead offered to Allegra Stratton. [4]
Plaid Cymru is a centre-left to left-wing, Welsh nationalist political party in Wales, committed to Welsh independence from the United Kingdom. Ross James Kemp is an English actor, author, and television presenter. He rose to prominence in the role of Grant Mitchell in the BBC soap opera EastEnders. Other roles include Graham Lodsworth in Emmerdale and Detective Inspector Monk in Birds of a Feather. Kemp presented the BAFTA Award-winning documentary television series Ross Kemp on Gangs (2004–2009).
Adam Robert Price is a Welsh politician who served as Leader of Plaid Cymru from September 2018 to May 2023. He has been the Member of the Senedd (MS) for Carmarthen East and Dinefwr since 2016, having previously been a Member of Parliament (MP) for the same Westminster constituency from 2001 to 2010.

A member of the Labour Party, she has served as the Member of Parliament for Lewisham West and East Dulwich, formerly Lewisham West and Penge, since 2017. She previously served as Shadow Solicitor General from April 2020 to December 2021 and Shadow Minister for Prisons and Probation from 2021 to 2023.
Natasha Asghar is a Welsh Conservative Party politician who has served as Member of the Senedd for the South Wales East region since 2021, and Shadow Cabinet Secretary for Education since December 2024. Her father Mohammad Asghar represented the same constituency until his death in 2020. She is the first female ethnic minority member of the Senedd. She stood for the Conservative Party's nomination for Mayor of London in the 2024 mayoral election, but was not shortlisted.
