Emile Christophe Mota Ndango (born 5 May 1956,Bukama,Democratic Republic of the Congo) is the former minister of Agriculture,livestock and fishery of the Democratic Republic of Congo. [1] He is also the acting president of Regional Fisheries Commission of the Gulf of Guinea,COREP. [2] He is also a member of the national parliament of the Democratic Republic of the Congo. [3] and the former chief of cabinet of the late president of the Congo,Laurent-DésiréKabila. [4] He was born on the 5 May 1956 in the Katanga province.
Emile Mota is a professor at the University of Lubumbashi (UNILU) in Haut-Katanga Province. He lectures in economics and project management, [5] in the department of economics in the Katanga (formerly Shaba),and he was the former economic adviser of the president of Katanga provincial parliament Gabriel Kyungu wa Kumwanza.
In 2000,he was approached by the late president of the DRC Laurent-DésiréKabila,and he was appointed chief of cabinet in charge of the economy. He witnessed the killing of the president on 16 January 2001 while he was working with him.
In 2011,he became a Member of the national Parliament in Kinshasa. He was elected in the 2011 election for a five-year term. He is advocating for sustainable development and recycling practices. While in Parliament,he initiated a law project on subcontracting in the Democratic republic of the congo. In 2015,he was nominated Minister of Agriculture,livestock and fishery.
Azarias Ruberwa Manywa is a Congolese politician,lawyer,and public figure. During the Second Congo War he was Secretary-General of the Rassemblement Congolais pour la Démocratie (RCD-G) rebel group. Following the war,he was one of the vice-presidents in the transitional government of the Democratic Republic of the Congo between 2003-2006. He has also been the leader and president of RCD-G's political party since 2003. He is a member of the Banyamulenge community of South Kivu who belong to the Tutsi ethnic group.
Nzanga Mobutu is a Congolese politician. A son of the long-time President Mobutu Sese Seko,he served in the government of the Democratic Republic of the Congo from 2007 to 2011,initially as Minister of State for Agriculture and subsequently as Deputy Prime Minister for Basic Social Needs and Deputy Prime Minister for Labor,Employment and Social Security. He received the fourth-highest number of votes in the 2006 presidential election. In 2007,Nzanga founded the Union of Mobutuist Democrats as the successor to his father's Popular Movement of the Revolution and has led the party since.

He has been described by The Economist as "probably the second most powerful man in the Democratic Republic of Congo after the president,Joseph Kabila". Jeune Afrique named him "African of the Year" in 2015.
Denis Kalume Numbi is a general and a politician in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC). He was part of the Antoine Gizenga government as Minister of State for the Interior,Decentralization and Security. He was replaced in this position on 26 October 2008 by Celestin Mbuyu Kabango when the government headed by Adolphe Muzito was formed.
The Independent National Electoral Commission is the body that runs elections in the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
The Republican Guard of the Democratic Republic of the Congo,formerly known as the Special Presidential Security Group,is maintained by President Félix Tshisekedi. Military of the Democratic Republic of the Congo (FARDC) military officials state that the Garde Républicaine is not the responsibility of FARDC,but the Head of State. Apart from Article 140 of the Law on the Army and Defence,no legal stipulation on the DRC's Armed Forces makes provision for the GR as a distinct unit within the national army. In February 2005,President Joseph Kabila passed a decree which appointed the GR's commanding officer and 'repealed any previous provisions contrary' to that decree. The GR is more than 10,000 strong,and formerly consisted of three brigades,the 10th,at Kinshasa,the 15th,and the 16th,at Lubumbashi. It has better working conditions and is paid regularly,but still commits numerous crimes near their bases,including against United Nations officials.

Matata Ponyo Mapon is a Congolese political figure who was Prime Minister of the Democratic Republic of the Congo from 18 April 2012 to 17 November 2016. Previously he served as Minister of Finance from 21 February 2010 to 12 April 2012;as Prime Minister,he retained responsibility for the finance portfolio. He currently serves as Senator for Maniema.
On 12 February 2012,a Katanga Express Gulfstream IV business jet carrying several Congolese government officials overran the runway and crashed on landing at Kavumu Airport near Bukavu,Democratic Republic of the Congo. Two crew members and two passengers were killed,along with two people on the ground.

Jaynet Désirée Kabila Kyungu is the daughter of Laurent-DésiréKabila,the former president of the Democratic Republic of Congo and twin sister of Joseph Kabila,the former President. Kabila was elected as a member of the Parliament of the Democratic Republic of the Congo in 2011,the same year as her other brother ZoéKabila. Document leaks in 2016 revealed that she is a part-owner of a major Congolese telecom company through offshore subsidiaries.
Samy Badibanga Ntita is a Congolese politician who was Prime Minister of the Democratic Republic of the Congo from November 2016 to May 2017. He was also on the ballot for the 2018 Democratic Republic of the Congo general election as a presidential candidate.
Tryphon Kin-Kiey Mulumba is a Congolese politician. He was formerly the Minister of Relations with Parliament and the Minister of Post and Telecommunications in the government of Prime Minister Matata Ponyo Mapon. In 2018 Mulumba was a presidential candidate in the 2018 Democratic Republic of the Congo general election. He was also previously in the National Assembly since the 2006 election representing the Bandundu Province,ending his term after the 2011 election. He has always been a close supporter of President Joseph Kabila,but in 2018 chose to run against Kabila's chosen candidate,Emmanuel Ramazani Shadary.
Pierre HonoréKazadi Lukonda Ngube-Ngube is a Congolese economist and politician who is a former member of the Parliament of the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Previously he had been an economics professor at the universities of Kasaïand Katanga,and is also a Protestant chaplain. He was a presidential candidate for the Popular Front for Justice party (FPJ) in the 2018 Democratic Republic of the Congo general election.
Jean-Michel Sama Lukonde Kyenge is a Congolese politician from the former Katanga Province who has served as Prime Minister of the Democratic Republic of the Congo from 2021,and acting prime minister since 20 February 2024 until a new government is formed and is approved by the National Assembly. He announced his first cabinet on 12 April 2021. He is a member of the Future of Congo party.
General elections were held in the Democratic Republic of the Congo on 20 December 2023. Combined elections were held for the President,484 of the 500 members of the National Assembly,700 of the 716 elected members of the 26 provincial assemblies,and for the first time under the new constitution,951 members of a scaled down number of commune (municipal) councils. On election day,the Congolese government extended voting to 21 December for polling stations that had not opened on 20 December. Agence France-Presse reported that some polling stations would open as late as 24 December.
Esdras Kambale Baekwa is a Congolese politician. On 25 November 2007,he was appointed as the Minister of Culture and Arts of the Democratic Republic of the Congo,under Antoine Gizenga's second cabinet that ran from 25 November 2007. He is the member of Unified Lumumbist Party (ULP).
