Emma Wilhelmina Koivisto (born 25 September 1994) is a Finnish professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for Serie A club AC Milan and the Finland national team.
Koivisto attended Florida State University, [2] playing for Florida State Seminoles; she played an average of 20 games per season and scoring 2 goals in her time at college. [3] [4] [5] [6] [7]
She previously played for HJK and FC Honka of the Naisten Liiga, as well as Kopparbergs/Göteborg FC, with whom she won the 2020 Damallsvenskan. [2]
She signed for Liverpool in July 2022 after spending 18 months with Brighton & Hove Albion, taking the number 2 shirt. [2]
On 26 June 2024, Koivisto signed a three-year deal with AC Milan. [8] The transfer will be effective from 1 July 2024.
She is a Finland women's national football team international, and was included in their squad for UEFA Women's Euro 2022. [9] [2]
On 17 July 2024, Koivisto recorded her 100th cap for Finland in a 4–0 defeat to Italy. [10]

Bollklubben Häcken Fotbollsförening is a women's football club based in Gothenburg, Sweden. Founded in 1970 as Landvetters IF and known as Kopparbergs/Göteborg FC between 2004 and 2020, the club became the women's section of the men's club BK Häcken in 2021, although as a separate club which is a subsidiary of BK Häcken for legal reasons.
Vesa-Pekka Vasara is a Finnish professional football manager for Veikkausliiga club Inter Turku, and a former player who played for the Veikkausliiga sides HJK Helsinki, FC Jokerit, FF Jaro, and FC Honka, as well as for Kalmar FF in Sweden. He was also capped 12 times for the Finland national team, scoring twice.
The 2006 season of the Veikkausliiga the 17th season in the league's history, which began on April 19 and ended on October 29.
The league was originally supposed to have 14 teams, but AC Allianssi was refused a license, so the league was subsequently played with only 13 teams.
Essi Katriina Sainio is a Finnish former professional footballer, who last played for HJK in Finland as a winger. She played for SC Freiburg of Germany's Frauen-Bundesliga, before having a few years break due personal reasons. She previously played for Turbine Potsdam, winning the German Bundesliga title in 2009, and for AIK of the Swedish Damallsvenskan. Sainio began her senior career with Naisten Liiga clubs FC Honka and HJK in her home country. Since making her debut in 2006, Sainio has won 45 caps and scored three goals for the Finland women's national football team. A winger who can also play as a full-back, she was part of the Finnish team which hosted UEFA Women's Euro 2009 and reached the quarter-finals.
Sanna Reetta Talonen is a retired Finnish football forward. She last played in the Swedish Damallsvenskan for KIF Örebro, a club she represented for seven seasons, scoring 54 league goals. She previously played for FC Ilves and FC Honka in Finland's Naisten Liiga and Florida Seminoles and Vancouver Whitecaps in United States' NCAA and W-League respectively.
