Olga Ahtinen (born 15 August 1997) is a Finnish professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for Women's Super League club Tottenham Hotspur and the Finland national team.

She started her career with GBK Kokkola and was playing for Swedish side Linköpings FC during Euro 2022. [1]

Career

GBK

Ahtinen made her league debut against Kokkola F10 on 27 April 2013. [2] She scored her first league goal against Helsingin Jalkapalloklubi on 27 July 2013, scoring in the 62nd minute. [3]

Ahtinen is one of six players from GBK who have made their debut for the Finland national team. [4]

Kokkola Futis 10

Ahtinen made her league debut against ONS Oulu on 22 March 2014. [5] She scored her first league goals against Pallokissat on 13 April 2024, scoring in the 80th and 87th minute. [6]

Palokissat

Ahtinen made her league debut against Ilves on 18 April 2015. [7] She scored her first league goals against VIFK on 25 April 2015, scoring in the 40th and 57th minute. [8]

PK-35 Vantaa

On 13 December 2016, Ahtinen was announced at PK-35 Vantaa. [9] She made her league debut against Pallokissat on 18 March 2017. [10] Ahtinen scored her first league goal against HJK on 21 June 2017, scoring in the 38th minute. [11] On 19 August 2017, it was announced that Ahtinen would be joining her new club in a week. [12]

Brøndby IF

Ahtinen made her league debut against Odense Boldklub Q on 26 August 2017. [13] She scored her first league goal against Varde IF on 24 September 2017, scoring in the 23rd minute. [14] Ahtinen made six appearances in the UEFA Women's Champions League, as well as winning the Women's Cup in 2018 and the Danish Women's League in 2019 during her time at Brøndby IF. [15]

IF Limhamn Bunkeflo

On 19 July 2019, Ahtinen was announced at IF Limhamn Bunkeflo. [16] She made her league debut against Djurgårdens on 20 July 2019. [17]

Linköpings FC

Ahtinen made her league debut against Växjö on 27 June 2020. [18] She scored her first league goal against Djurgårdens on 16 May 2022, scoring in the 62nd minute. [19] Ahtinen was named The Most Valuable Player of the 2021 Damallsvenskan season. [20]

Tottenham Hotspur

In August 2023, Ahtinen signed with Tottenham Hotspur. [21] She scored her first goal for Tottenham on 8 October 2023, in a 3–1 home victory against Bristol City. [22] In a 1-1 draw with Liverpool F.C. Women saw her stretched off. It was announced she had damaged her MCL, but would not require surgery.

International career

Ahtinen was capped by the Finland national team in 2017, and she appeared for the team during the 2019 FIFA Women's World Cup qualifying cycle. [23]

She played for Finland at the UEFA Women's Euro 2022. [24]
