Leisel Marie Jones, OAM is an Australian former competition swimmer and Olympic gold medallist. A participant in the 2000 Summer Olympics – at just 15 years old – and 2004 Summer Olympics, she was part of gold-medal-winning Australian team in the women's 4×100-metre medley relay at the Athens Games in 2004 and a gold medallist for 100-metre breaststroke in the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing.
Inna Vitalievna Kapishina is a Belarusian former swimmer, who specialized in breaststroke events. She is a multiple-time Belarusian champion and three-time national record holder in her respective discipline.
Mariam Pauline Keita is a three-time Olympic swimmer from Mali, specialized in breaststroke events. She made her first Malian team at the 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney, and competed for the women's 100 m breaststroke. At age seventeen, Keita won the first heat of the event, where two of her swimmers were disqualified for a false start and for violating the technical rules of the sport, recording the slowest possible time in the prelims at 1:37.80. On her second Olympic appearance in Athens 2004, Keita swam swiftly and improved her personal best in the 100 m breaststroke event. She finished the same heat in sixth place and forty-sixth overall, with a time of 1:30.40, just seven seconds ahead of her mark from the previous Games.
Diana Duarte Gomes is a Portuguese swimmer, who specialized in breaststroke events. She is a two-time Olympian and a multiple-time Portuguese record holder for the long and short course breaststroke events. She also won three medals in the same category at the 2005 European Junior Swimming Championships in Budapest, Hungary.
Rhiannon Leier is a Canadian former competition swimmer who specialized in breaststroke events. She is a multiple-time Canadian record holder, a two-time finalist at the FINA World Championships, and a six-time NCAA All-American honoree. She also won a bronze medal, as a member of the Canadian swimming team, in the women's 4x100-metre medley relay at the 2002 Pan Pacific Swimming Championships in Yokohama, Japan, clocking at 4:05.59. Leier is also the granddaughter of former baseball player, track athlete, and ice hockey player Edward Leier, who played two seasons with the Chicago Blackhawks in the National Hockey League.
Sarah Paton is an Australian former swimmer who specialized in long-distance freestyle events. She is the sister of swimmer Siobhan Paton, who won six gold medals at the 2000 Summer Paralympics, and holds 13 world records in S14 category. Paton is also a member of Telopea Swim Club, and is coached and trained by Mark Skimming.
Jaclyn Pangilinan is a Filipino-American former swimmer, who specialized in breaststroke events. She is a two-time Filipino record holder, a four-time Ivy League champion in the 100 and 200 m breaststroke, and a multiple-time medalist at the Southeast Asian Games. Born to a Filipino father, and an American mother, Pangilinan holds a dual citizenship to compete collegiately and internationally in swimming.
Shim Min-ji is a South Korean former swimmer, who specialized in freestyle and backstroke events. She is a two-time Olympian and a three-time relay medalist at the Asian Games (2002).
Roshendra Julienne Mercedes Vrolijk is an Aruban former swimmer, who specialized in sprint freestyle events. She is one of Aruba's first Olympic swimmers, alongside Davy Bisslik, and also a two-time Olympian.
Sandy Chan Wing-suet is a Hong Kong former swimmer, who specialized in butterfly events. She is a two-time Olympian and a double finalist at the Asian Games (2002).
Mei Yen “Christel” Bouvron is a Singaporean former swimmer, who specialised in freestyle and butterfly events. She is a two-time Olympian, a double finalist at the Asian Games (2002), and a gold medalist in the 200 m butterfly at the Southeast Asian Games (2003). Bouvron also became the first swimmer to qualify for the Olympics since 1920, while training for the Fighting Irish, and majoring in anthropology and classics at the University of Notre Dame in South Bend, Indiana.
Lee Ji-young is a South Korean swimmer, who specialized in breaststroke events. She became the first female South Korean in history to train in the United States, and swim for the Peddie Aquatic Association in Hightstown, New Jersey.
Imaday Núñez González is a Cuban former swimmer, who specialized in breaststroke events. She won a total of three medals in the breaststroke and medley relay at the 1998 Central American and Caribbean Games in Maracaibo, Venezuela.
Íris Edda Heimisdóttir is an Icelandic former swimmer who specialized in breaststroke events. She is a two-time Olympian and a former Icelandic record holder in the 100 and 200 m breaststroke.
Annabelle Jane Carey was a New Zealand swimmer, who specialized in breaststroke events. As of 2006, she currently holds a New Zealand record of 1:09.26 in the 100 m breaststroke from the World Championship Trials in Auckland. In the same year she helped out the New Zealand team to pull off a fourth-place effort in the medley relay at the Commonwealth Games in Melbourne, Australia, with a record-breaking time of 4:06.30.
Daniel Tam Chi-kin is a Hong Kong former swimmer, who specialized in breaststroke events. He is a two-time Olympian, and a double finalist in the 100 and 200 m breaststroke at the 2002 Asian Games in Busan, South Korea. Tam is a member of the swimming team for SLA Sports Club, and is trained by an Australian-born coach Anthony Giorgi.
Arsenio Alexander López Rosario, also known as Alex Lopez, is a Puerto Rican former swimmer and three-time Olympian who specialized in breaststroke and individual medley events.
Salama Abdel Raouf Zenhoum Ismail is an Egyptian former swimmer, who specialized in breaststroke events. She currently holds three Egyptian records each in the 50, 100, and 200 m breaststroke, and plays simultaneously for Zohour Sporting Club in Cairo, and Dekalb International Training Centre (DITC) in Atlanta, Georgia. She also won a total of four medals at the 2003 All-Africa Games in Abuja, Nigeria.
Aikaterini "Katia" Sarakatsani is a Greek swimmer, who specialized in breaststroke and individual medley events. She is a three-time Olympian, a former Greek record holder in the breaststroke, and a member of the swimming team for Hawaiʻi Rainbow Wahine at the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa, under head coach Vojko Race.
Yevgeny Petrashov is a Kyrgyzstani former swimmer, who specialized in breaststroke events. He is a three-time Olympian, and a former Kyrgyzstan record holder in both 100 and 200 m breaststroke.
