Emuoboh Gbagi (born 4 June 1985) is a Nigerian businessman, politician from the People's Democratic Party, and community leader.
Gbagi is the son of Olorogun Kenneth O. Gbagi, [1] a former Minister of State for the Education in Nigeria, [2] and Chief Mrs. Evelyn Gbagi. He is from Oginibo in Ughelli South Local Government Area of Delta State, Nigeria.
He attended Greensprings Primary School and Atlantic Hall Secondary School, both in Lagos. [3] He later moved to the United States [3] where he completed his secondary education at Munster High School in Indiana. [3] He began his higher education at Purdue University before transferring to Novena University where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration. [3]
Gbagi worked at a car wash in 2002 and as a sales clerk at KFC in 2004. [4] While studying at Purdue University, [3] he worked as a lab attendant.
After returning to Nigeria in 2009, Gbagi became the managing director of GKO Properties Group, [5] overseeing various properties, including Signatious Hotel in Warri, Delta State. He later founded Blue Delta Integrated Services Limited, an advertising company specializing in digital screens and signage. [5] This grew into a larger group of companies, which includes Exquisite Cuts, a men's grooming chain, and Blue Delta Petroleum Resources Ltd, an oil and gas company. He also serves as the chairman of the GKO Group of Companies, a conglomerate with interests in hospitality, construction, security, and oil and gas. [6]
Gbagi joined the People's Democratic Party after returning to Nigeria. [5] He served as a delegate for Jeremi Ward II in Ughelli South Local Government Area in 2014 and 2018. [5]
His run for a seat in the Delta State House of Assembly in 2018 was unsuccessful. [5] From October 2015 to August 2018, he was the executive assistant to the governor of Delta State on the Delta State Oil Producing Area Development Commission (DESOPADEC). [7] He was later appointed special adviser to the governor on DESOPADEC from October 2018 to May 2019. [7] He also served two terms as special adviser on Youth Development. In July 2021, he became the secretary of the College of Special Advisers, a role he held until May 2023. [5]
In January 2015, Gbagi was honored with the title of Ame of Ughelli Kingdom by Oharisi, the Ovie of Ughelli Kingdom, [8] in recognition of his contributions to community development and youth leadership. [9]
Gbagi's philanthropic efforts include regular visits to hospitals where he provides financial assistance to patients in need of medical care. [10] He has also shown a strong commitment to education, frequently visiting schools to offer support to teachers and provide learning materials to students. [11]
In 2019, Gbagi received the Most Distinguished Youngest Office Holder of the Year by the Udu Icon/Role Model Awards. [12]

Delta State is a state in the South-South geopolitical zone of Nigeria. Named after the Niger Delta—a large part of which is in the state—the state was formed from the former Bendel State, on 27 August 1991. Bordered on the north by Edo State, the east by Anambra and Rivers states, and that south by Bayelsa State while to the west is the Bight of Benin which covers about 160 kilometres of the state's coastline. Bayelsa state is a state in the South South region of Nigeria, located in the core of the Niger Delta. Bayelsa State was created in 1996 and was carved out from Rivers State, making it one of the newest states in the federation. The capital, Yenagoa, is susceptible to high risk of annual flooding. It shares a boundary with Rivers State to the east and Delta State to the north across the Niger River for 17km and the Forçados River for 198km, with the waters of the Atlantic Ocean dominating its southern borders. Gamaliel Oforitsenere Onosode was a Nigerian technocrat, administrator and a former presidential candidate of the All Nigeria People's Party of Nigeria. Educated at the Government College, Ughelli and the University of Ibadan, he emerged in the 1970s as one of Nigeria's leading educated chief executives, when he was at the helm of NAL merchant bank of Nigeria. Over the years, he rose to become a leading boardroom player in Nigeria's corporate environment. He was also a former presidential adviser to President Shehu Shagari and a former president of the Nigerian Institute of Management.

Felix Ovudoroye Ibru was a Nigerian businessman, architect and politician. He was the first democratically elected Governor of Delta State and Senator for Delta Central Senatorial District. Until his death he held the position of President General of the Urhobo Progressive Union (UPU). Luke Erede Ejohwomu, Adakaji was the Ovie of Abraka Kingdom in Nigeria. He hailed from the Ovowodo/Umeghe ruling house. He was born on 1 June 1936 to the family of Erede Ejohwomu and Aliatete Ejohwomu. Under his uncle, Patrick Ejohwomu, he commenced his primary school education in 1944 at the Native Authority (N.A.) School, Amai. In 1950, he moved to the N.A. School, Otu-Jeremi; in 1951, he transferred to the Catholic School at Okpara Water Side where he obtained the standard six certificate. In 1952, he gained admission into St. Thomas College, Ibusa from where he obtained Teacher Grade Two Certificate in 1956.

The 2023 Delta State gubernatorial election will take place on 18 March 2023, to elect the Governor of Delta State, concurrent with elections to the Delta State House of Assembly as well as twenty-seven other gubernatorial elections and elections to all other state houses of assembly. The election—which was postponed from its original 11 March date—will be held three weeks after the presidential election and National Assembly elections. Incumbent PDP Governor Ifeanyi Okowa is term-limited and cannot seek re-election to a third term.
