Eno Cotton Mill, also known as the Eno Plant, is a historic cotton mill complex located at Hillsborough, Orange County, North Carolina. The main mill was built in 1896, with expansions in 1904, about 1917, about 1923, and about 1971. The main mill is a two-story, brick building with a shallow gabled roof supported by heavy timber beams and posts. It is representative of slow-burn heavy timber construction and has Italianate style design elements. Also on the property are the contributing weave house and dye shed (1908, 1923) and steam stack (1896). Eno Plant closed in 1984 and the buildings house the Hillsborough Business Center incubator. Contoocook Mills Industrial District United States historic place

The Contoocook Mills Industrial District of Hillsborough, New Hampshire, encompasses the industrial mill complex of the Contoocook Mills, a major business in the town from the 19th century to the mid-20th century. Industry on the banks of the Contoocook River in Hillsborough began as early as 1763, when a sawmill and gristmill were operated in the area. More modern industrial activity began in 1828 with the construction of a cotton mill by Josiah Marcy. This three story timber frame building stands on the south side of Mill Street, on a granite foundation through which a raceway provide the water which powered the mill. Marcy expanded his operations, building a grist mill and saw mill before his death in 1848. The grist mmill, a handsome brick building on the north side of Mill Street, was operated as such until 1884, after which it was converted into the picker building for the main mill complex.

Kendall Mill Historic District is a historic mill complex, mill village, and national historic district located at Camden, Kershaw County, South Carolina. The district encompasses 119 contributing buildings, 1 contributing sites, and 1 contributing structure in Camden. The district is centered on the Wateree Plant and associated structures that date from 1899 to 1923. The mill village to the south and southeast of the plant was built between 1900 and ca. 1925 and is a virtually intact reminder of the importance of the textile industry to South Carolina. The mill faces Kendall Park, a ten-acre landscaped park. On the eastern border of the park are the mill supervisors’ houses, built between 1900 and ca. 1925. The operatives house consist of one-story, 1 1/2-story, and a few two-story frame houses which date from 1900 to 1923. The district also includes Kendall Lake, north of the mill. The Dekalb Cotton Mill was organized in 1899. The Dekalb Mill building, designed by W.B. Smith Whaley in the Romanesque Revival style, was considered a model of textile architecture. The original plant building is a four-story rectangular brick building with a back stair tower and an imposing six-story front stair tower. The west addition to the plant, which is in keeping, architecturally, with the older buildings, was constructed in 1964. It is located in the City of Camden Historic District.

Buffalo Mill Historic District is a national historic district located at Buffalo, Union County, South Carolina. The district encompasses 190 contributing buildings and 2 contributing structures associated with the Buffalo Mill textile mill complex and mill village. The mill complex includes the main mill, mill office, power house, ice factory, mill warehouse, company store, and company bank/drug store. The main mill building features applied stylized Romanesque Revival detailing. The mill village housing varies from large, free-classic, Queen Anne style supervisor's houses, to shingle-style bungalows, to simple, one-story, workers residences. The village also includes a school and a baseball field/park.

Erwin Cotton Mills Company Mill No. 1 Headquarters Building, also known as Erwin Square, is a historic textile mill complex located at Durham, Durham County, North Carolina. The mill was built in 1892, and is a two-story, 748 feet long, brick building. It features three square towers projecting from the east facade and by hundreds of large and closely spaced windows. The building exemplifies "slow burn" construction with its exterior load bearing brick walls and its heavy timber heart pine beams and columns. The headquarters building is a Late Victorian style brick building built in 1892 and enlarged in 1896 and 1905. Attached to the headquarters building is a warehouse. In 1983–1984, the complex was renovated as offices and apartments.

Capitola Manufacturing Company Cotton Yarn Mill, also known as the Marshall Mill and Power Company, is a historic cotton mill complex located at Marshall, Madison County, North Carolina. The main mill building is a three-story brick building built about 1905. It was raised to three stories in 1928. It measures approximately 108 feet (33 m) by 116 feet (35 m), with a low-pitched gabled roof, and windows on three sides. Also on the property is a contributing boiler house and water tank.

Faucett Mill and House, also known as Coach House and Chatwood, is a historic grist mill, home, and national historic district located near Hillsborough, Orange County, North Carolina. The mill was built before 1792, and is a 2 1/2-story, heavy timber frame, weatherboarded building. It is sided alongside a reconstructed mill race and the Eno River. The Faucett House was built about 1808, and is a 2 1/2-story, Federal style frame dwelling, with an original one-story rear wing. The house's southwest wing was originally a separate dwelling known as the Naile Johnson House. It was added to the Faucett House about 1938. Also on the property are the contributing mill cottage, barn, and a section of the "Great Road."

Bellevue Manufacturing Company is a historic textile mill complex located at Hillsborough, Orange County, North Carolina. The main mill was built about 1909, and is a two-story, side-gabled brick building, with a one-story boiler room and engine room wing. It is representative of slow-burn heavy timber construction. A one-story brick weaving room with monitor roof was built parallel to the main mill in 1920. In 1923, the wing was raised to two stories and an addition built to connect to the weaving room forming a "U"-shaped complex. The center of the "U" was filled in during the 1960s. Also in 1923, a separate two-story cloth building was constructed.

Roxboro Cotton Mill is a historic cotton mill complex located at Roxboro, Person County, North Carolina. It was built in 1899, and is a two-story, banked, textile mill with Italianate-style influence and slow-burning heavy timber frame construction. An addition to the original mill building was built in 1924, and together they measure approximately 525 feet long. The building housed the spinning and carding operations. The mill remained in operation until 1999.

Acme-McCrary Hosiery Mills, also known as Acme Hosiery Mills, McCrary Hosiery Mills, and Asheboro Grocery Company, is a historic textile mill complex located at Asheboro, Randolph County, North Carolina. The complex includes six buildings and a smokestack, erected between 1909 and 1962. The mill buildings were designed by architect Richard C. Biberstein and the oldest section is a two-story, heavy-timber-frame mill with load bearing brick walls. The Acme-McCrary-Sapona Recreation Center was built in 1948–1949, and is a two-story, Art Moderne style brick recreation center. The buildings were added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2014.

Falls of the Neuse Manufacturing Company United States historic place

Falls of the Neuse Manufacturing Company, also known as the Manteo Manufacturing Company and Forest Manufacturing Company, is a historic paper mill complex located at Falls, Wake County, North Carolina. The main mill building was built in 1854–1855, and is a three-story, quarried granite block building measuring 195 feet long and 54 feet wide. Located on the property is the stone mill dam, measuring about 400 feet wide and roughly 6 feet tall, and the one-story picker room, measuring 53 feet square. The mill operated as a paper mill until 1896, and later housed a cotton mill and warehouse.

Pickett Cotton Mills United States historic place

The Pickett Cotton Mills is a historic industrial property at 1200 Redding Drive in southwestern High Point, North Carolina. The mill complex includes the original 1911 two-story brick-and-concrete mill building, a storage warehouse, office building, and sprinkler house. The Pickett Cotton Mill Company was founded in 1910, and was the first successful textile operation in the city. The mill was closed in 1985 due to stiff foreign competition. The main mill is an exemplary instance of sturdy, high-quality construction of the period, and the office building, which is also typical of the period, is one of the few to survive.
