Ensanche de Vallecas is an administrative neighborhood of Madrid, belonging to the district of Villa de Vallecas.
The urbanisation of the area was conceived as a PAU (Programa de Actuación Urbanística) named "Ensanche de Vallecas" within the Casco Histórico de Vallecas neighborhood. In March 2016 a popular vote on the name was carried out. "La Gavia" and "Ensanche de Vallecas" were the two options at stake. [1] As the participation quorum remained below the required minimum (3,774 votes), the result of the consultation, in which 2,960 neighbors took part ("La Gavia", 1801 votes vs. "Ensanche de Vallecas", 1159 votes) was deemed invalid. [2] The formal creation of the administrative neighborhood was approved on 31 May 2017 by the Government Board of the Madrid City Council under the name of "Ensanche de Vallecas". The measure became effective in June. [3] As of 1 February 2020, it has a population of 49,290. [4]
Vicálvaro is a district in the southeast of Madrid, Spain. It is named after the former municipality absorbed into the municipality of Madrid in 1951.

Created in November 2017 after the passing of the new internal organization of the district on 31 October 2017 by the plenary of the Madrid City Council, it is named after the PAU in the area, which unlike the administrative neighborhood does not extend to the east of the Cañada Real linear shanty town, as the administrative neighborhood also currently comprises the future development of Los Cerros, another PAU. The first neighbors of the PAU installed in 2016. As of 1 March 2020, the neighborhood has a population of 2,565.
Valderrivas is an administrative neighborhood of Madrid belonging to the district of Vicálvaro. It was formally constituted as independent entity in November 2017, after the administrative reorganization of the district passed by the Plenary of the Ayuntamiento de Madrid on 31 October 2017. The toponym Valderrivas makes a reference to the former cement factory installed in the area named as Portland Valderrivas S. A.
