Ephraim Lerkin (born 27 November 1997) is a Papua New Guinean track and field athlete. [1] He competed at the 2017 World Championships running in the men's 400 metres hurdles. [2] He competed in the same event at the 2018 Commonwealth Games in the Australia, [3] where he ran 52.17 seconds without advancing to the final.
Port Moresby, also referred to as Pom City or simply Moresby, is the capital and largest city of Papua New Guinea. Zharnel Hughes is an Anguilla-born British sprinter who specialises in the 100 metres and 200 metres. Born and raised in the British Overseas Territory of Anguilla, he has competed internationally for Great Britain in the Olympic Games, World Athletics and European Athletics events, and for England at the Commonwealth Games, since 2015. A double Commonwealth Games, double European Championships gold medalist as part of the 4 x 100 metres relay, Hughes has twice been European champion individually; over 100 metres in 2018, and 200 metres in 2022. The Oceania U20 Athletics Championships is an athletics competition organized by the Oceania Athletics Association (OAA) open to under-20 athletes from member and associate member associations. It was called the Oceania Junior Athletics Championships from 1994 to 2014. The competition is held biennially together with the Oceania Open Championships for the first time in 1994 until 1998, and again since 2010. In 2012, the new regional "East–West" format was applied with Medals now being awarded for athletes from both the Eastern and the Western Region by separating the results correspondingly.

The Sir Ignatius Kilage Sports Stadium is an association football stadium located in Lae, Papua New Guinea. It was named after Sir Ignatius Kilage who was the fourth Governor General of Papua New Guinea. The stadium, which is part of the larger Sir Ignatius Kilage Sports Complex, features 500 grandstand seats plus an additional 1,000 bench seats. It is the home stadium of the Papua New Guinea National Soccer League Southern Conference.
