Erkki Tapani Lehtonen (born January 9, 1957, in Tampere, Finland) is a retired professional ice hockey player who played for Tappara in the SM-liiga. He was inducted into the Finnish Hockey Hall of Fame in 1997 and his jersey was retired by Tappara in 2018. [1] He also won a silver medal at the 1988 Winter Olympics. Lehtonen scored the winning goal to help Finland win their first medal. [2] [1]

Oulun Kärpät is a Finnish professional ice hockey team based in Oulu and playing in the top-tier Finnish Liiga. Kärpät have won the Finnish championship title eight times, and is the most successful Finnish ice hockey team in the 21st century.
Tampereen Tappara is a Finnish professional ice hockey team playing in the Liiga. They play at Nokia Arena in Tampere, Finland. The team has won 19 Finnish league championships, which makes them the most succesful club in Finland. The team continued the traditions of the Tammerfors Bollklub.
The Jari Kurri Trophy is an ice hockey trophy awarded by the Finnish Liiga to the best player in the Liiga playoffs. The trophy is named after Jari Kurri.
The Urpo Ylönen trophy is an ice hockey award given by the Finnish Liiga to the best goalie of the season. It is named for Urpo Ylönen, former goaltender and later goaltender coach. In 2019 it was awarded to Veini Vehviläinen of Kärpät.

Jori Jonatan Lehterä is a Finnish professional ice hockey player currently playing for Tappara of the Liiga. A centreman, he was selected by the St. Louis Blues in the third round, 65th overall, of the 2008 NHL Entry Draft. He won a bronze medal with Finland at the 2014 Winter Olympics.

Martti Jarkko is a Finnish retired professional ice hockey player who played in the SM-liiga. He played for Tappara and TPS in Finland and Iserlohner EC in Germany. He was inducted into the Finnish Hockey Hall of Fame in 1993.
Reijo Kalevi Mikkolainen is a retired professional ice hockey player who played in the SM-liiga. He won a silver medal with the Finland team at the 1988 Winter Olympics. He played for Tappara, Ilves, and TPS. He was inducted into the Finnish Hockey Hall of Fame in 2005.

Harry Gustaf Lindblad was a Finnish ice hockey administrator, coach and player. He served as the Finnish Ice Hockey Association president for 18 years, after five years as its vice-president. During this time, Finland participated in its first ice hockey tournament at the Winter Olympics, won its first medal in international hockey, began to build indoor ice rinks, hosted two Ice Hockey World Championships, and founded the Finnish Elite League. He was posthumously recognized for his contributions by induction into both the Finnish Hockey Hall of Fame and the IIHF Hall of Fame.

Sanni Vanhanen is a Finnish ice hockey player and member of the Finnish national ice hockey team, currently playing in the Naisten Liiga (NSML) with HIFK Naiset. She was the youngest player to represent Finland in the 2021 IIHF Women's World Championship and was the youngest player to compete in the women's ice hockey tournament at the 2022 Winter Olympics.
Kiekko-Espoo is a Finnish professional ice hockey club founded in 2018 as a continuation of the Kiekko-Espoo team originally founded in 1984. Kiekko-Espoo men's team plays in the Mestis, where they have won one championship (2022–23), and the women's team plays in the Naisten Liiga. Kiekko-Espoo's junior teams play at national league levels in U16, U18 and U20 juniors. The junior teams of Espoo Blues and Kiekko-Espoo played under Kiekko-Espoo Juniorit ry until 2014.
