Ernest Gerard Gibson (born October 3, 1961 in Jacksonville, Florida) is a former American football cornerback both on the college level at Furman and in the National Football League for 5 seasons.

Professional career

He was drafted by the New England Patriots in the sixth round of the 1984 NFL Draft playing for them from 1984 to 1988. He was a member of the 1986 Super Bowl Patriots squad. Gibson played for the Miami Dolphins in his last NFL season in 1989.

Personal life

Ernest currently resides in East Cobb, Georgia and is a business consultant for Chick-fil-A in the Atlanta area.
