Ernie Suwara (born 15 March 1945) is an American former volleyball player who competed in the 1964 Summer Olympics. [1]

The UCLA men's volleyball program began its first year in 1953. Al Scates had been the head coach each year since 1963 until his retirement after the 2012 season. John Speraw took over as head coach after Scates retirement, and has led the team since then.
