Gong Min-ji, better known by her stage name Minzy, is a South Korean singer, rapper, and dancer. She debuted in 2009 as a member of South Korean girl group 2NE1, which became one of the best-selling girl groups worldwide before her departure in April 2016. She released her first solo EP, Minzy Work 01: "Uno", in April 2017. On November 20, 2020, Minzy made her debut in the Philippines with the Tagalog version of her single "Lovely".
AKMU, also known as Akdong Musician, is a South Korean duo consisting of siblings Lee Chan-hyuk and Lee Su-hyun who debuted under YG Entertainment in April 2014 with studio album Play after winning SBS' K-pop Star 2.
Winner is a South Korean boy band consisting of four members: Jinu, Hoony, Mino and Seungyoon. The band was formed in 2013 by YG Entertainment through Mnet's survival program WIN: Who Is Next leading to their official debut on August 17, 2014, with studio album 2014 S/S. Originally a five-piece band, Taehyun, departed from the group in November 2016 for his mental health and well-being. Bang Ye-dam is a South Korean singer and former member of the boy band, Treasure under YG Entertainment. He is best known for competing in the second installment of K-pop Star (2012–2013) where he finished as runner-up. In June 2013, Bang was scouted by YG Entertainment and joined as a trainee. During his time with the group, he played a significant role in the production and songwriting of their music, and is credited as the sole record producer for all of iKon's releases. His contributions to iKon's second studio album, Return, especially for the lead single "Love Scenario", earned him the prestigious "Songwriter of the Year" award at the 2018 Melon Music Awards.

Produce 101 Season 2 was a 2017 boy group survival reality show on Mnet, and is the second season of the original South Korean version of the franchise. The public "produces" a boy group by choosing 11 members among 101 trainees from 54 entertainment companies through online voting and live voting with multiple elimination rounds. The public also chose the group's concept, debut song and group name. In the season finale on June 16, 2017, which was broadcast live, the show announced the final 11 members who would debut as Wanna One. More than 16 million people cast their votes during the finale, equivalent to around 30% of South Korea's population.

The album was released for pre-order on December 29, 2020. A music video for the album's "My Treasure" was released alongside the album. Maxident is the seventh Korean-language extended play and eleventh overall by South Korean boy band Stray Kids. A portmanteau of "max" or "maximum" and "incident" or "accident", the EP saw the band take on a "love" concept for the first time.
