Opeth Swedish progressive metal band

Opeth is a Swedish progressive metal/rock band from Stockholm, formed in 1989. The group has been through several personnel changes, including the replacement of every single original member. Lead vocalist, guitarist and songwriter Mikael Åkerfeldt has remained Opeth's primary driving force since the departure of original vocalist David Isberg in 1992. Opeth has consistently incorporated progressive, folk, blues, classical, and jazz influences into its usually lengthy compositions, as well as strong influences from death metal, especially in their early works. Many songs include acoustic guitar passages and strong dynamic shifts, as well as death growls. Opeth is also well known for their incorporation of Mellotrons in their work. The band rarely made live appearances supporting their first four albums, but since conducting their first world tour after the 2001 release of Blackwater Park, they have led several major world tours.

HammerFall Swedish power metal band

HammerFall is a Swedish power metal band from Gothenburg, Sweden. The band was formed in 1993 by ex-Ceremonial Oath guitarist Oscar Dronjak.

Mikael Åkerfeldt Swedish musician

Lars Mikael Åkerfeldt is a Swedish musician. He is the lead vocalist, guitarist, and primary songwriter of progressive metal band Opeth, and the former vocalist of death metal supergroup Bloodbath. He was also guitarist for the "one-off" band Steel, and is part of the collaboration Storm Corrosion with Steven Wilson.

Morningrise is the second studio album by Swedish progressive metal band Opeth. It was released on 24 June 1996 in Europe by Candlelight Records and on 24 June 1997 in the United States by Century Black. The recording sessions took place at Unisound studio, in Örebro, during March and April 1996, and once more the band used producer Dan Swanö. Morningrise was the last Opeth album produced by Swanö. It was also the last Opeth release with drummer Anders Nordin and bassist Johan De Farfalla.

Mikael Stanne Swedish heavy metal vocalist

Bengt Mikael Stanne is the vocalist and one of the lyricists for the Swedish melodic death metal band Dark Tranquillity. Since 2020, Stanne along with drummer Anders Jivarp are the only remaining original members of the band. Stanne is also the vocalist for death metal band Grand Cadaver, which formed in 2020. He was also an ex-vocalist for Swedish power metal band HammerFall.

Constrictor is the ninth solo studio album by rock musician Alice Cooper released on September 22, 1986. After a hiatus from the music industry after the release of DaDa, Cooper remained in seclusion for three years. He starred in Monster Dog, a horror film for which he wrote two songs. He also guest starred on the Twisted Sister track "Be Chrool to Your Scuel". Constrictor was Alice Cooper's first album to feature Kane Roberts on guitar, Kip Winger on bass, who would later gain fame with his own band, Winger and the only one to feature David Rosenberg on drums.

Persuader is a Swedish power metal band from the city Umeå in the Swedish province of Västerbotten Norrland. The band was formed in 1997, and they have since released four full-length albums. They have a sound similar to bands including early Blind Guardian, Iron Savior, and Nocturnal Rites, although Persuader includes influences of thrash metal also. Members Jens and Emil joined the band Savage Circus in 2005, started by Thomen Stauch after he left Blind Guardian.

After two albums on Nuclear Blast Records, they moved to Massacre Records. Their third album, Grim Tales, received lukewarm reviews.

Det är ni som e dom konstiga, det är jag som e normal is the third solo album of Swedish rock musician Joakim Thåström. It was released in 1999 and was the first solo album after his time with his industrial rock band Peace Love & Pitbulls. It was much celebrated in Sweden, by fans and critics, and considered a return to Thåström's rock roots.

<i>Death Is Not Dead</i> 2015 studio album by The Crown

Death Is Not Dead is the ninth studio album by Swedish melodic death metal band The Crown which was released by Century Media Records on 13 January 2015. In this album, Johan Lindstrand returned for the first time since his departure after Possessed 13 came out in 2003. The album is the last one in which Janne Saarenpää will play his drums for the band. The album was released to coincide with the 25th anniversary of the band.
