Esha Kansara is an Indian actress who starred in the Hindi TV serials Mukti Bandhan, Meri Bhabhi . She was also cast in the series Maddam Sir (2020) and Zindagi Mere Ghar Aana (2021).

Early life

Kansara was born in the city of Ahmedabad on 20 August 1992. Born to Ramesh Kansara, a businessman, and Harsha Kansara, a homemaker, her family foundation extends to her brother, Daivik Kansara, a businessman, and her sister-in-law, Kalindi Soni Kansara, also a homemaker.[ citation needed ]

At the age of 6, she commenced her training in the dance form, Bharatnatyam and performed her Arangetram at the age of 14. Her interest in dance led her to the grand stage of 'Dance India Dance' during her 10th grade, where she was among the top 100 contestants.

Esha interacted with stage performances during this time, including her 12th grade where she performed on the stage as the lead in the play Dikri Toh Devthi Vishesh, which was then renamed Ame Toh Khush-Khushal. In that play, she depicted the character of a blind girl. This performance in Ahmedabad was early in her career of theatre.

In 2010, Esha moved to Mumbai. There, she joined Mithibai College of Commerce and Arts. For 13 years she has been in the field of acting. With 2 TEDx speeches, 6 Gujarati films, [2] [3] [4] [5] [6] [7] 5 television shows, more than 25 TV commercials, and various OTT sketches and music videos, she then decided to get married in 2022 to Siddharth Amit Bhavsar, [8] a music composer and singer.

Career

Kansara's acting career started in 2010 with a Hindi TV serial, Mukti Bandhan, which was an adaptation of the famous novel Mukti Bandhan by Shri Harkisan Mehta . Presented by Shobhana Desai's Production Pvt. Ltd. Mukti Bandhan [9] revolved around the story of a self-made businessman, I.M. Virani, and his daughter-in-law Devki Shah Virani, played by Esha as the female protagonist. Later on. she went on to play roles in other Hindi serials, like Ek Nanad Ki Khushiyon Ki Chaabi...Meri Bhabhi , [10] Maddam Sir , [11] etc.

Esha played the role of [12] Kritika (Kittu) in the TV serial Ek Nanad Ki Khushiyon Ki Chaabi, Meri Bhabhi, which was a show about the lovely bond shared between a sister-in-law and daughter-in-law. Shraddha the nanad finds a friend in Kritika, her bhabhi.

Later on, she did a cameo in Maddam Sir, which was aired on SAB TV. In Maddam Sir, Esha portrayed the character of Misri Pandey, [13] a bratty police officer. Through the character of Misri Pandey, she explored the grey shade as an actor and became quite popularly known as Misri Pandey.

Before that, Esha played the role of Radha [14] in a sitcom series named My Name Ijj Lakkhan opposite Shreyas Talpade. This sitcom was a 26-episode series that starred people like Archana Puran Singh, Parmeet Sethi, etc. My Name Ijj Lakhan's plot revolved around Lakhan, who is a small goon who does bad deeds, but his good nature brings him on the right path. He loves his parents and decides to make money by doing work, as his father wanted (whom he thinks is dead).

In 2021, Esha starred in another Hindi TV serial named Zindagi Mere Ghar Aana [15] in which she played the role of Amrita. [16] The storyline of this serial revolved around Amrita and Pritam, who are two contrasting personalities who encounter each other when he moves in as a tenant. While he is a pessimist, she is all about finding sunshine in mundane things.

Esha's also landed roles in Gujarati films. She debuted in Gujarati cinema in 2017 with Duniyadaari [7] opposite Malhar Thakar . The remake of the Marathi movie Duniyadari, the story of this film was about love, friendship, relationship, and destiny, based in the period of mid-70s. The story conveys the emotions of the youth and their romantic journeys, as well as what destiny has in store for them.

Later in 2018, she starred in another Gujarati film named Midnights with Menka [17] ' opposite Malhar Thakar. In this film, Esha was the lead actress and played the role of Esha, a dumb character of a cable TV ads' top heroine who was also Malhar Thakar's, a.k.a. Meet Mehta's biggest fangirl.

In the same year, Esha Kansara starred in another Gujarati film, Vandha Vilas [18] in which she played the role of Shivani. Later in 2018, she starred in Mijaaj [19] opposite Malhar Thakar, in which she tried her hand at action for the first time. In 2022, she starred in a Gujarati romantic film named Prem Prakaran [20] which was a coming-of age cinema with a story of a love triangle starring Gaurav Paswala and Deeksha Joshi . She played the character of Riya in this movie, which was about the story of a small town boy, Adi, who becomes the heartthrob singer of Gujarat.

Her recent film, 3 Ekka, has been a blockbuster hit, generating over 20 crores in the first 2 weeks of its release . [21] In '3 Ekka' Esha plays the role of Jhanvi, [22] a craft teacher at school whose morals and values do not allow her boyfriend (played by Yash Soni) to gamble for his friends, who are in big trouble.

Lagan Special is a 2024 Gujarati family comedy drama, directed by Rahul Bhole and Vinit Kanojia written by Suraj Baraliya. It stars Malhar Thakar Puja Joshi, Mitra Gadhavi and others. Film is produced by Jeegar Chauhan, Malhar Thakar, Jigar Parmar and Digijaysingh Rajput under the banner of Jeegar Chauhan Productions and Ticket Window Entertainment. The film is going to be distributed by Panorama Studios
