Et Dukkehjem was a sketch show shown on Norwegian NRK television channel NRK1, presented by Mari Grydeland and Gunhild Dahlberg. There were six episodes to the series and ran on Thursdays at 22:30 from 2 September 2004 until 14 October 2004 (missing one week).
Most probably named after the famous play by Norwegian Henrik Ibsen, the sketches each seem to come from a different room of a house. There were weekly sketches, such as one where they would give five alternative uses for common products, such as using slices of beef to make hats/gloves/tube tops etc., and one-off sketches like 'Sex og Oslo City'. Also throughout the series they launched a hate campaign against kabaret which is a dish in which ingredients are set into a gelatine, it can be either fish in aspic (fiskekabaret), meat in aspic, or, (as used in the show) vegetables in aspic (grønnsakkabaret).
The Eurovision Song Contest 1963 was the eighth edition of the annual Eurovision Song Contest and took place in London, United Kingdom. Team Antonsen was a Norwegian sketch comedy television program which was shown on TV in spring 2004 on the Norwegian public channel NRK. The show consisted of four well-known comedians: Atle Antonsen, Harald Eia, Bård Tufte Johansen and Kristopher Schau performing various sketches. The show typically made fun of spoken Nynorsk and Sami, as well as regional dialects from all over Norway—most commonly from Northern Norway and the cities of Bergen and Trondheim. Celebrities often appeared on the show—among others famous writer Anne Holt and accomplished singer Bertine Zetlitz. Team Antonsen had an average viewer-rating of over 700 000 viewers, a high figure for a late-night TV show in a country with 4.6 million people.
Sesam Stasjon was a Norwegian children's television series that ran on NRK1 based on Sesame Street. It quickly became the most popular children's show in Norway after its début in 1991, and 198 episodes were made until 1998. Unlike their predecessors from all over the world it is set in a railway station near a town instead of the traditional Sesame Street neighbourhood. Each episode is 30 minutes, of which 15–20 are from the Norwegian production and 10–15 are dubbed from Sesame Street.
Odd Nordstoga is a folk singer, musician, actor and editor from Vinje in Telemark, Norway. In 2004, he went from relative obscurity to becoming the country's biggest selling recording artist, with the phenomenal success of his first solo album proper, "Luring". The album, a fusion of pop and Norwegian folk music, has sold more than 160,000 copies in Norway to date and earned him several Spellemannsprisen awards. For the album Strålande Jul, released together with Sissel Kyrkjebø, he won an unprecedented 11 Norwegian platinum trophies.
