eTeacher Group was co-founded in the year 2000 by brothers, Boaz and Yariv Binnun.
In 2002, Israel's Ministry of Foreign Affairs granted the company the challenge of founding the world's first online Hebrew school. Children of employees in the Israeli diplomatic service could use such a service to learn to read, write and speak Hebrew correctly, despite growing up abroad and moving from country to country. A few months later the online platform created by the company started serving Israeli children and families abroad, and then in 2005, an online Hebrew School for the Jewish communities round the world was launched.
In 2008 eTeacher launched Highway to English, an online ESL school, which connects teachers and education professionals from the United States with students from all over the world. The English language program includes five different levels, each with its own curriculum and set of courses.
In 2008 eTeacher launched the Israel Institute of Biblical Studies, providing online courses for Biblical languages and Bible study
Since January 2010, the company has been collaborating with the Hebrew University of Jerusalem in providing courses related to Biblical Studies. These courses are accredited for students of the university, as well as providing language students with academic based courses, supervised by university staff members.
In 2017 the company launched Tekkie Uni, an online school where children learn to program and build games, apps and more. Tekkie Uni offers both synchronous online courses for children to learn coding from home, and a programming curriculum for schools.
In 2020 the company launched Langaroo, Live online English courses for children aged 5–13
The company has since utilized a wide variety of online technology to build and manage large-scale online virtual schools.
Teaching methods
The company provides an online platform for teaching synchronous, live, teacher-led classes, while utilizing a range of tools alongside a team of teachers and scholars.
The teaching process is based on a system which incorporates different teaching tools, the backbone of which is a weekly live lesson with a language teacher (usually native to the language he or she teaches in). The company employs some 300 teachers from around the world.
Alongside the weekly "real-time" lessons the courses include a weekly practice lesson. In order to supplement these online weekly meetings, the courses also provide recorded dialogues and recorded lessons. Also, supplementing the electronic and online aspects of the programs, the student my also make use of provided teaching textbooks and workbooks in the language and level the course is focused on. Between lessons the student is expected to complete assignments and homework, which are in turn graded by the staff.

The different courses are divided into five schools, each with a staff of teachers, learning platforms and a website. Each of these schools offers courses at different levels and localization.

The program is designed for children in elementary school, junior high, and high school who want to learn how to create and develop software and games for iOS, Android, and computers.

Langaroo offers children aged 5 to 13 private online lessons with certified English teachers.

The Rosen School of Hebrew
The Hebrew school was the first to be launched, and is probably the most wide spread. It offers courses in Hebrew for adults and for children, alongside seminars for Hebrew language students.
Distance education, also known as distance learning, is the education of students who may not always be physically present at school, or where the learner and the teacher are separated in both time and distance. Traditionally, this usually involved correspondence courses wherein the student corresponded with the school via mail. Distance education is a technology-mediated modality and has evolved with the evolution of technologies such as video conferencing, TV, and the Internet. Today, it usually involves online education and the learning is usually mediated by some form of technology. A distance learning program can be completely distance learning, or a combination of distance learning and traditional classroom instruction. Other modalities include distance learning with complementary virtual environment or teaching in virtual environment (e-learning).
Torah study is the study of the Torah, Hebrew Bible, Talmud, responsa, rabbinic literature, and similar works, all of which are Judaism's religious texts. According to Rabbinic Judaism, the study is done for the purpose of the mitzvah ("commandment") of Torah study itself.
A Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) is an undergraduate professional degree which prepares students for work as a teacher in schools. In some countries such as Tanzania and Kenya, additional tasks like field work and research are required in order for the student to be fully qualified to teach. It may also be accompanied with or followed by tests for licenses or certifications required for teachers in some areas.
English as a second or foreign language is the use of English by speakers with different native languages. Language education for people learning English may be known as English as a second language (ESL), English as a foreign language (EFL), English as an additional language (EAL), English as a New Language (ENL), or English for speakers of other languages (ESOL). The aspect in which ESL is taught is referred to as teaching English as a foreign language (TEFL), teaching English as a second language (TESL) or teaching English to speakers of other languages (TESOL). Technically, TEFL refers to English language teaching in a country where English is not the official language, TESL refers to teaching English to non-native English speakers in a native English-speaking country and TESOL covers both. The software uses images, text, and sound to teach words and grammar by spaced repetition, without translation. Rosetta Stone calls its approach Dynamic Immersion.
In higher education a course is a unit of teaching that typically lasts one academic term, is led by one or more instructors, and has a fixed roster of students. A course usually covers an individual subject. Courses generally have a fixed program of sessions every week during the term, called lessons or classes. Students may receive a grade and academic credit after completion of the course. Courses can either be compulsory material or "elective". An elective is usually not a required course, but there are a certain number of non-specific electives that are required for certain majors. The entire collection of courses required to complete an academic degree is called a program of studies.

Yeshivat Ma'ale Gilboa is a Shiluv Yeshiva located on Kibbutz Ma'ale Gilboa in Israel's Gilboa Mountains. Teaching English as a second language (TESL) or Teaching English to speakers of other languages (TESOL) are terms that refer to teaching English to students whose first language is not English. The terms TESL, TEFL, and TESOL distinguish between a class's location and student population. TEFL describes English language programs that occur in countries where English is not the primary language. TEFL programs may be taught at a language school or with a tutor. For some jobs, the minimum TEFL requirement is a 100-hour course; however, the 120-hour course is strongly recommended as it often yields higher-paying teaching positions. TESL and TESOL include English language programs that occur in English-speaking countries. Often, these classes serve populations who have immigrated there or whose families speak another language at home. TESOL is an umbrella term that includes TEFL and TESL programs and is a widely accepted term in the field of English language teaching. TEFL teachers may be native or non-native speakers of English. Teaching English as a second language is regarded as an outdated term because students may speak more than one language before they study English. CodeMonkey is an educational computer coding environment that allows beginners to learn computer programming concepts and languages. CodeMonkey is intended for students ages 6–14. Students learn text-based coding on languages like Python, Blockly and CoffeeScript, as well as learning the fundamentals of computer science and math. The software was first released in 2014, and was originally developed by Jonathan Schor, Ido Schor and Yishai Pinchover, supported by the Center for Educational Technology in Israel.
