The Ashley River is a blackwater and tidal river in South Carolina, rising from the Wassamassaw and Great Cypress Swamps in western Berkeley County. It consolidates its main channel about five miles west of Summerville, widening into a tidal estuary just south of Fort Dorchester. The river then flows for approximately 17 miles along the historical banks of the City of North Charleston before reaching peninsular Charleston. The much wider Ashley joins the Cooper River off the Battery in Charleston to form Charleston Harbor before discharging into the Atlantic Ocean. As of 2012 the land around the Ashley River is mostly undeveloped.
Lunice Creek is a 7.3-mile-long (11.7 km) tributary of the South Branch Potomac River, belonging to the Potomac River and Chesapeake Bay watersheds. The creek is located in Grant County, West Virginia. Lunice Creek is created by its North and South Forks and empties into the South Branch at Petersburg.
Millsboro is a census-designated place located in East Bethlehem Township, Washington County, Pennsylvania. The community was part of the Fredericktown-Millsboro CDP for the 2000 census but was split into two separate CDPs for the 2010 census, the other community being Fredericktown. Originally Powell's Ranch, it was renamed when a post office was established in 1872; the office closed in 1906. It was a center of lumber production in its heyday, but nothing remains at the site.
