Evan Robert Weir (born 16 April 2002) is an Irish professional footballer who plays as a defender for EFL League Two club Walsall.

Club career

Born in Ratoath, [1] Weir spent his early career with UCD and Maynooth University Town, before signing for Drogheda United for the 2022 season. [2] [3] [4] [5] He combined his playing career with his job as an electrician. [6]

He signed for English club Walsall with effect from January 2024, returning on loan to Drogheda. [7] [8] [9] [10]

International career

Weir spent time at Ireland under-21 training camps, before receiving a call-up to the squad in October 2023. [11]
