    Albert Tuaopepe Wendt is a Samoan poet and writer who lives in New Zealand. He is one of the most influential writers in Oceania. His notable works include Sons for the Return Home, published in 1973, and Leaves of the Banyan Tree, published in 1979. As an academic he has taught at universities in Samoa, Fiji, Hawaii and New Zealand, and from 1988 to 2008 was the professor of New Zealand literature at the University of Auckland.

    The 2021 Queen's Birthday Honours in New Zealand, celebrating the official birthday of Queen Elizabeth II, were appointments made by the Queen in her right as Queen of New Zealand, on the advice of the New Zealand government, to various orders and honours to reward and highlight good works by New Zealanders. They were announced on 7 June 2021.

    Aiono Alec Joseph Ekeroma is a Samoan physician, academic, and civil servant. He was the first Pacific academic to hold a professorial role in a specialised area of medicine in New Zealand. He helped establish the National University of Samoa's medical school, and currently serves as the university's vice-chancellor.

    Susan Mary Bennett Morton is a New Zealand epidemiologist, and is a full professor of public health at the University of Technology Sydney, specialising in longitudinal studies of public health. In 2019, Morton was appointed a Member of the New Zealand Order of Merit for services to epidemiology and public health research.

    Cherie Maria Chu-Fuluifaga is a Chinese Tahitian New Zealand academic, and is a senior lecturer in education at Victoria University of Wellington. In 2024, Chu-Fuluifaga was appointed an Officer of the New Zealand Order of Merit for services to education.

    Frances Anne Hughes is a New Zealand nursing academic and leader, and has held senior roles across several nursing organisations. In 2005 Hughes was appointed an Officer of the New Zealand Order of Merit, for services to the mental health profession. In 2020 she was appointed a Companion of the New Zealand Order of Merit for services to nursing and mental health.

    Tupe Solomon-Tanoa'i is a New Zealand public servant and media producer. She is a board member of the Asia New Zealand Foundation, Philanthropy New Zealand and the Broadcasting Standards Authority, and in 2020 was the winner of the diversity category at the Women of Influence Awards.
