Everybody Is Going to Heaven is the second studio album by American rock band Citizen. The album charted within the top 20 on various Billboard charts.
The group announced they were in the process of recording their next album on January 5, 2015. [1] Everybody Is Going to Heaven was recorded at Studio 4 Recording in Conshohocken, Pennsylvania, with producer Will Yip. He was assisted by engineer Colin Gorman; Yip and Vince Ratti mixed the recordings. Ryan Smith mastered the album at Sterling Sound in New York City. [2]
Discussing the writing process, guitarist Nick Hamm said the group was "doing whatever we feel like" and that the songs were "twice as big as [the tracks on] Youth. It's Citizen, but it's turned up to 11". [3] Everybody Is Going to Heaven has been described as alternative rock, [4] emo, [5] and shoegazing. [6] [5]
On April 26, 2015, Everybody Is Going to Heaven was announced for release in June, revealing its cover art. In addition, a short snippet of a song was available on the group's website. [3] On May 5, "Cement" was made available for streaming via Noisey . [7] On June 3, a music video was released for "Stain". The video, directed by Max Moore, premiered via Vice . [8] Everybody Is Going to Heaven was made available for streaming on June 9 via Spin , [6] before being released on June 23 through Run for Cover Records. [3] On October 21, a music video was released for "Yellow Love". Directed by Moore, it features two people stabbing themselves with knives. According to Noisey, proceeding this is a "a strange reaction that plays out for the rest of the duration. One could expound that it's a visual representation of the song's lyrics seen real". [9]
In October and November, the group supported Circa Survive on their headlining US tour. [10] In January 2016, the group went on a tour of Europe and the UK with Turnover. [11] "Numb Yourself" was released as a radio single on February 19. [12] In March and April, the group went on a US tour alongside Turnover, Sorority Noise and Milk Teeth. [13] On May 8, an outtake, titled "Nail in Your Hand", was released for free download from the group's website. [14] In August, the group appeared at Reading Festival in the UK. Ocean Avenue is the fourth studio album by American rock band Yellowcard. It was released on July 22, 2003, through Capitol Records. After touring to promote their third studio album One for the Kids in 2001, the band signed to the label in early 2002. Following this, bassist Warren Cooke left the band in mid-2002, and was replaced by Inspection 12 guitarist Peter Mosely. In February and March 2003, the band recorded at Sunset Sound in Hollywood, California, with Neal Avron. Ocean Avenue is a pop-punk and punk rock album, which was compared to Blink-182 and Simple Plan.
No Pads, No Helmets...Just Balls is the debut studio album by Canadian rock band Simple Plan. Formed by members of Reset, Simple Plan spent over a year recording their debut album with producer Arnold Lanni. It is a pop punk and power pop record that revolved around being an outcast, drawing comparisons to Blink-182, Good Charlotte and New Found Glory. After signing with major label Atlantic Records, "I'm Just a Kid" was released as a single in February 2002, with No Pads, No Helmets...Just Balls following on March 19. It received a mixed reaction from music critics, with some commenting on the lack of originality and others praising the production.
What to Do When You Are Dead is the second studio album by American rock band Armor for Sleep. Following the completion of two songs written from the perspective of being dead, vocalist/guitarist Ben Jorgensen created a whole story from this viewpoint. What to Do When You Are Dead is a concept album, with each song telling the story of the protagonist's suicide as well as his journey through the afterlife. Recording took place between August and October 2004 with producer Machine. A rough mix of "Car Underwater" was made available in November, followed by two US tours in February 2005. What to Do When You Are Dead was released on February 22 through independent label Equal Vision Records.
The Movielife is a Long Island punk rock band composed of vocalist Vinnie Caruana, guitarist Brandon Reilly, and drummer Brett Romnes. The band originally formed in 1997 and disbanded in 2003, but announced their official reunion in December 2014.
Chroma is the debut studio album by the American rock band Cartel. Formed in mid-2003, they self-released an EP the following year. Shortly afterwards founding guitarist Andy Lee left the band and was replaced by Nic Hudson. Following a performance at a music conference in Atlanta, the band signed to The Militia Group. With songs planned out, the band went to record with producers Zack Odom and Kenneth Mount. Recording took place at Treesound Studios in Atlanta in May and June 2005. Chroma released through The Militia Group in September 2005. The album sold 3,000 copies in its first week and charted at number 140 on the Billboard 200 chart. Chroma is the only full-length Cartel album to feature bassist Ryan Roberts, who departed the band in 2006.
Basement are an English rock band formed in 2009 in Ipswich, Suffolk, England. Their first studio album, I Wish I Could Stay Here, was released in 2011. The next year, Colourmeinkindness was released, charting on the Billboard Top 200.

Peripheral Vision is the second studio album by American rock band Turnover. Produced by Will Yip, the album was released on May 4, 2015 through Run for Cover Records. Following the release of their debut album Magnolia (2013), Turnover parted ways with original guitarist Kyle Kojan, replacing him with Eric Soucy. For Peripheral Vision, Turnover returned to producer Will Yip, who shares songwriting credits on the entire album. It was recorded at his studio, Studio 4, in Conshohocken, Pennsylvania.
No Closer to Heaven is the fifth studio album by American rock band The Wonder Years. Struggling with writer's block, vocalist Daniel Campbell spoke with several friends who were in bands for inspiration. No Closer to Heaven is a concept album, detailing the loss of a loved one. The album was recorded between March and April 2015. It was produced by Steve Evetts at The Omen Room. "Cardinals" was released as a single in June, followed by "Cigarettes & Saints" a month later. "I Don't Like Who I Was Then" was made available for streaming in August. "Thanks for the Ride" was made available for streaming in early September. No Closer to Heaven was released through Hopeless on September 4. The Target edition featured two additional tracks.
