"Everybody Needs a Little Help" was the third and final single from Shannon Noll's third album, Turn It Up . It was released as a radio-only single on 4 February 2008. [1] The track reached number one on the Australian Airplay Chart. A physical release was scheduled to be released, but, similarly to Noll's previous radio single, New Beginning , this plan was set aside. The reasoning lay in the impending release of Noll's first compilation album, No Turning Back: The Story So Far .

A video was to be shot in early February 2008, but was cancelled after Sony BMG made the decision to focus on new material being released later in the year.

Australian Idol is an Australian singing competition, which began its first season in July 2003 and ended its initial run in November 2009. Australian Idol was televised on Network Ten for all seven series and was broadcast on the Southern Cross Austereo Radio Network between 2005 and 2007.

Shannon Noll is an Australian singer-songwriter who first came to prominence as runner-up of the first season of Australian Idol in 2003, which led to him being signed to Sony BMG. He has released five top ten albums, including two number-one multi-platinum sellers. Noll's first ten singles all peaked inside the ARIA top ten, including three that reached number one. He is the only Australian male artist in Australian chart history to have ten consecutive top ten singles. Noll's debut single "What About Me?" was certified 4× platinum and became the highest selling single of 2004 in Australia.

Shine (Shannon Noll song)

"Shine" was the first single to be released from Shannon Noll's second album, Lift. It was released in Australia on 26 September 2005, and debuted at number one on the Australian Singles Chart. "Shine" was the number one most added song to radio upon release, eventually going on to spend eleven consecutive weeks at number one on the Australian Airplay Chart - a record that still remains today.

"Learn to Fly" is a song originally recorded by British boyband A1, due to be released as the fourth single from the group's third studio album, Make It Good. Written by band member Christian Ingebrigtsen, along with Peter Gordeno, Chris Porter and Rick Mitra, a single release was cancelled when the group decided to split in late 2002. Lift is the second studio album by Australian singer-songwriter Shannon Noll. It was released by Sony BMG in Australia on 16 October 2005. Noll co-wrote eleven out of the thirteen songs in the album. The album debuted at number 1 on the Australian Recording Industry Association album chart on 23 October 2005 with a platinum certification and was eventually certified three times platinum. All four singles released from the album reached the Top 10 of the ARIA single chart, and proved to be very popular radio hits, with both "Shine" and "Now I Run" ending 2006 within the Top 10 most played songs on Australian radio.
