Eqrem Çabej was an Albanian historical linguist and scholar who,through the publication of numerous studies gained a reputation as a key expert in research on Albanian language,literature,ethnology and linguistics.
Aleksandër Xhuvani was an Albanian philologist and educator. Xhuvani spent much of his career working for the improvement of Albanian schools;he also advocated the standardization of the Albanian language in the years following Albania's independence. Among his writings are grammars in Albanian,as well as a dictionary of the language. Xhuvani also served as a politician,sitting in both the Constituent Assembly of the Albanian Kingdom and as a member of the Assembly of the Republic of Albania. In the latter he served as vice-president of the Presidium towards the end of his life.

The Qafa e Vishës bus accident occurred on 21 May 2012,at Qafa e Vishës near Himarë,Albania,when a bus plunged 80 metres (260 ft) off a cliff. Most of the victims were students of Aleksandër Xhuvani University of Elbasan. The driver is also believed to have been killed. The students were travelling from Elbasan to Sarandë.

Two years later,he was elected member of the assembly on September 10,2021 to serve in the 31st legislature,representing the Democratic Party in Elbasan. He was expelled from the Democratic Party on September 10,2023 and in that same month,joined Sali Berisha's rival faction.

It was created to help teach the basic language to children and young adults throughout Albania and the surrounding region where Albanians live. Abetare has played a significant role in the history of Albanian education and laid the groundwork for literary Albanian which helped raise the national consciousness for future generations. By learning to read and write,young Albanians were introduced to the history and culture of their homeland.
Naxhije Dume was an Albanian politician. She was one of the first group of female members of the Albanian parliament and the first female minister,serving briefly as Minister of Education in 1948.
