Karutha Rathrikal is a 1967 Indian Malayalam-language science fiction thriller film directed by P. Subramaniam under the name Mahesh. An adaptation of the 1886 novella Strange Case of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde by Robert Louis Stevenson, it was the first science fiction film in the history of Malayalam cinema.

Karakkat Domnic George (1908–1991) was an Indian film editor. He started his career as a projector operator in the Indian Military Service, and became a film editor in the Malayalam movie industry. His first film was also the first Malayalam talkie Balan, which was released in 1938. He was the editor of the famous Malayalam film Chemmeen; along with Hrishikesh Mukherjee it was also the first South Indian film to win the Indian President's Gold Medal for the Best Film in 1965. His last film was Ezhu Rathrikal on YouTube, released in 1968. George left the film industry for health reasons and settled in Chowara, Sreemoolanagaram, Ernakulam District in Kerala. In addition to his native Malayalam, he also spoke English, Hindi, Tamil, and Kannada. George also lived in the United States for several years in the late 1980s.

Kamal Bose (1915–1995) was an Indian cinematographer, who shot most of Bimal Roy classics, including Parineeta (1953), Do Bigha Zamin (1953), Bandini (1963), Devdas (1955) and Sujata (1960). He successful transitioned into the coloured film era, and shot Qurbani (1980), Janbaaz (1986) and Dayavan (1988).

Maryan is the soundtrack album, composed by A. R. Rahman for the 2013 Tamil film of the same name directed by Bharatbala. The film that is produced under the banner Aascar Films, stars Dhanush and Parvathy in the lead roles. The album was released under the label Sony Music on 17 May 2013. The music received extremely positive critical reception and overwhelming audience response after its release. It also topped the iTunes India charts for the month of May and June 2013. Further, for the remaining months of 2013, it maintained its position in the top 10 music album charts. The soundtrack album was adjudged as "Tamil Album of Year" in iTunes’ Best of 2013. Rahman won the Norway Tamil Film Festival Best Music Director award and the SIIMA Award for Best Music Director in 2014. The soundtrack was nominated at the 2014 Edison Awards and Vijay Awards for both best music direction and best background score. Ezhu Sundara Rathrikal is a 2013 Malayalam-language romantic comedy film directed by Lal Jose and starring Dileep, Parvathy Nambiar, Rima Kallingal and Murali Gopy. The film follows a sequence of events that unfolds during a course of seven days and nights of a bridegroom. It depicts how Aby Mathews (Dileep) life is tossed over when he happens to meet his ex-girlfriend once again before his wedding day.

Kedamangalam Ali was an Indian actor in Malayalam movies during the 1960s and 1970s. Born in 1932 in Kedamangalam near North Paravur in Ernakulam District, Kerala, his popular movies are Mudiyanaaya Puthran (1961), Ninamaninja Kaalppaadukal (1963), Moodupadam (1963), Ammaye Kaanaan (1963) and Bhargaveenilayam (1964). He died on 26 April 1986.

Latha Raju is an Indian film singer and actress in Malayalam cinema during the 1970s. The Kerala Sangeetha Nataka Akademi awarded her the Kerala Sangeetha Nataka Akademi Award in 2009 for contributions to Malayalam light music. In 2019 Kerala Government honoured her for her outstanding contributions to Malayalam cinema and music.
