FC Treptow is a German association football club from the city of Berlin and is the successor to Werkverein der BEWAG Berlin which was established in 1928 as the worker's sports club of the city's electric utility Bewag Aktiengesellschaft. [1]
The club fielded strong lower division teams and won its way through to the Oberliga Berlin-Brandenburg/Staffel B (I) in 1932. The following year German football was reorganized under the Third Reich into 16 top-flight regional divisions and BEWAG was not included as part of the new Gauliga Berlin-Brandenburg which was made up of only 12 teams in a single division, rather than the 20 teams of the Oberliga's two divisions. The team was renamed Sportverein BEWAG Berlin in 1932 and was promoted to Gauliga play in 1936. In 1938, they were again renamed becoming SV Elektra Berlin, and they made an appearance in the opening round of the Tschammerspokal, predecessor of today's DFB-Pokal (German Cup). SV earned mid-table results over the next three seasons before being relegated following an 11th-place finish in 1941.
After the end World War II in 1945, most sports and football clubs in Germany were dissolved by occupying Allied authorities. The club was re-established in 1949 as Betriebssportgemeinschaft BEWAG and was renamed BSG Turbine BEWAG in 1950. They made their second appearance in cup play, this time in the opening round of the FDGB-Pokal (East German Cup), and again went out in the opening round. From the late 1950s on into the early 1970s, BEWAG was primarily a third-division side before settling into fourth-tier play as part of the separate football competition that emerged in Soviet-occupied East Germany. In 1974, they took on the name BSG Turbine Berlin and, in 1984, BSG Turbine EKB Treptow.
A single nationwide football competition was restored after the reunification of the country in 1990 and the club adopted the name SV Turbine Berlin. After the fall of 1994, Turbine joined Lok Schöneweide – established in 1925 as the rail worker's club Reichsbahnsportverein Berlin – to form the present day side FC Treptow which was named for the former southeastern city district of Treptow which is home to the club. In 1996, the football section of former East German club NARVA Berlin joined FC and the newly combined side took up the place of NARVA in the Landesliga Berlin (VI) where they remained until being sent down in 2001. Today the team plays in the Kreisliga Berlin (IX).
FC Energie Cottbus is a German football club based in Cottbus, Brandenburg. It was founded in 1963 as SC Cottbus in what was East Germany. After the reunification of Germany, Energie played six seasons in the third tier of the German football league system before floating between the 2. Bundesliga and Bundesliga for 17 years between 1997 and 2014. From 2014 to 2016, the club played in the third tier, 3. Liga, and were then relegated to the Regionalliga Nordost. In 2018, they were promoted back into the 3. Liga, only to be relegated again the next season.
FC Carl Zeiss Jena is a German football club based in Jena, Thuringia. Formed in 1903 and initially associated with the Carl Zeiss AG factory, they were one of the strongest clubs in East Germany from the 1960s to the 1980s, winning the DDR-Oberliga and the FDGB-Pokal three times each and reaching the 1981 European Cup Winners' Cup Final. Since German reunification in 1990, the club have competed no higher than the second tier. In the 2020–21 season, Jena played in the Regionalliga Nordost.
SV Babelsberg 03 is a German association football club based in Potsdam-Babelsberg, on the outskirts of Berlin. The team was founded as Sport-Club Jugendkraft 1903 and again as SG Karl-Marx Babelsberg in 1948 as successor to the pre-war side SpVgg Potsdam 03.
The FDGB-Pokal was an elimination football tournament held annually in East Germany. It was the second most important national title in East German football after the DDR-Oberliga championship. The founder of the competition was East Germany's major trade union.
SV Dessau 05 is a German association football club based in Dessau, Saxony-Anhalt. They distinguished themselves in 1949 as winners of the inaugural FDGB-Pokal, the East German Cup.

BSG Wismut Gera is a German association football club playing in Gera, Thuringia. The club is the successor to 1. SV Gera whose football department joined Blau-Weiß Gera and Geraer KFC Dynamos in 2007 to form FV Gera Süd, which, in turn, changed its name to BSG Wismut Gera in 2009.

The Berliner Landespokal is an annual football cup competition held by the Berlin Football Association. The cup winner qualifies for the national DFB-Pokal. Cup finals are usually held in the Friedrich-Ludwig-Jahn-Sportpark. The competition has been held since 1906, with various interruptions. Record winners are Tennis Borussia Berlin with a total of 16 titles. It is one of the 21 regional cup competitions in Germany.
FSV Glückauf Brieske-Senftenberg is a German football club from Senftenberg in Brandenburg, currently playing in the Landesliga Brandenburg-Süd (VII).
Elektra Berlin was a German association football club from the city of Berlin and was a predecessor of current-day club FC Treptow. The club was the team of the city's power utility workers, established in 1928 as Workverein der BEWAG Berlin. It was renamed Sportverein BEWAG Berlin on 28 January 1937 before being again renamed SV Elektra Berlin on 3 October 1938. The club was lost on 11 May 1942.
Polizei SV Berlin was a German football club from the city of Berlin. The early 1920s saw the formation of sports clubs for police and postal workers which included the establishment on 1 June 1921 of Sport-Verein Schutzpolizei Berlin as the club of the city's police force. It was renamed Polizei SV Berlin in 1922 and advanced to play first-division football in the Oberliga Berlin for a single season in 1926–27. They returned to Oberliga play in 1929 for a three-year turn that ended after a 9th-place finish in 1932. In 1930, the club took part in the Berliner Landespokal and went out 1–2 to Minerva Berlin in a quarterfinal match.
Pro Sport Berlin 24, formerly Post SV Berlin until 2005, is a German association football club from the city of Berlin. It was formed 29 September 1924 and was one of many the sport clubs established by police and postal workers in the 1920s. Through most of its history the club has been a lower-tier local side.
BSG Chemie Leipzig was a German football club from the Leutzsch district of Leipzig, Saxony. The prewar identity of the club is rooted in the establishment of Britannia Leipzig in 1899 and its successor TuRa Leipzig. During the socialist era the traditions of the club were continued in the East German teams BSG Chemie Leipzig and SC Lokomotive Leipzig before the emergence of FC Sachsen Leipzig following German reunification, which continued the clubs traditions.
