Eurobeat refers to two styles of dance music that originated in Europe: one is a British variant of Italian Eurodisco-influenced dance-pop, and the other is a hi-NRG-driven form of Italo disco. Both forms were developed in the 1980s.

Despite many of its tracks being made by various musicians from all over the world and mainly from the European continent, the albums have been released exclusively in Japan.

The album became the second highest selling remix album in Japan of 2000 with 700,000 copies sold. The album became Hamasaki's longest charting remix album with over 31 weeks on the chart. It is the 4th best selling remix album in Japan and also the 9th best selling remix album worldwide of all time.

Elena Ferretti, better known as Sophie or Rose, is an Italian Eurobeat and Italo disco singer. She has performed and recorded for many record labels, under many aliases. Her music was produced by various well-known Italian producers, namely Giacomo Maiolini, Mauro Farina, Sergio Dall'Ora and Giancarlo Pasquini. She often collaborated with Clara Moroni, who wrote many of her compositions. Moroni also did most of the backing vocals/choirs for Ferretti's songs for Time Records. Together with Moroni, she was a member of the duo Gipsy & Queen. In 2011, she recorded and released an Italian folk song entitled "Io Libera". Among her best known hits is the song "My World".
Night of Fire is the 5th single by Japanese band Dream. The song itself is a cover of the Eurobeat classic, previously recorded in English by the Italian artist Niko in 1999 and composed by Bratt Sinclaire, which also appeared in the popular anime and manga series, Initial D. The single reached #20 on the weekly Oricon charts in 2000. A promotional video for the single was released on the DAYDREAM DVD and VHS. Dream's version features Japanese lyrics by group member Mai Matsumuro. The single was simultaneously released on the same day as the Super Eurobeat Presents Euro Dream Land album.

"Ai Oboete Imasu ka" is the third single by Japanese singer-songwriter Mari Iijima, released on June 5, 1984, by Victor Entertainment. Written by Kazumi Yasui and Kazuhiko Katō, it was used as the theme song of the 1984 mecha anime film Macross: Do You Remember Love?, which also featured Iijima as the voice of Lynn Minmay. The B-side is "Tenshi no Enogu", which was written by Iijima and used as the film's ending theme.
