Fahad Al Kubaisi (Arabic : فهد الكبيسي; born April 12, 1981) is a Qatari singer, record producer, human rights activist, and fashion model. His voice has been described as a "tender" baritone. [1] He became successful in Arab states of the Persian Gulf and Maghreb. He is also famous for producing numerous genres of Khaliji music, which were well known throughout the Persian Gulf countries. Early life

Al Kubaisi was born in Doha on 12 April 1981 and grew up in a devoted Muslim family. [1] He is the second son among eight children (eight boys), and held a bachelor's degree in physical education and sports science from Qatar University. [1]

Career

Islamic singing (1997–2005)

He began his artistic career as an Islamic singer when he was in high school. He performed several Islamic songs solo in 1997 and in 2001 he released his first album Jamaal El Rouh (The Beauty of the Soul), and in 2005, when he was a university lecturer, he released his second album Ela Rouhi (To my Soul). [1]

Non-Islamic singing (2006–present)

He moved to the non-Islamic singing field with the help of Qatari composer Matar Ali al-Kuwari in 2006. In the same year he recorded his first non-Islamic album Layesh (Why?). In 2010 he released his second album, Sah El Nawm, which was produced and distributed by Platinum Records. [1]

In 2012, Fahad's career became increasingly successful and became popular, when he released his fourth album Tejy Neshaq, as his first album produced by himself. [1] He worked on the music industry in collaboration with many musicians and poets, including James Horner, who created the music for Titanic and Avatar. [3]

Music videos

In 2014, Fahad filmed his solo song Wbadin in Turkey in the selfie way. cu music video has been very successful as selfie Video Clip is the first of its kind in the history of the Arabic music industry. [1] Fahad held a selfie stick and started walking around the streets of Istanbul. In 2015, he released a single song Batalna (We finished) in the style of Arabic pop music; it is the first music video in the Middle East filmed in the 360-degree video way. [1]

Awards

In 2018, Al Kubaisi won the "Best Male Khaleeji Singer Award" at the Golden Panther Music Awards in New York City. [1] He was also nominated for the 60th Annual Grammy Awards in January that same year, with his album Enta Eshq, which was nominated in the "World Music Album" category, becoming the first Gulf singer to be nominated. [1]

At the jury of the Big Apple Music Awards, in July 2018, Al Kubaisi became the first Arabic music artist to be approved as a member of the jury, approved for the most important awards given to artists in music and singing categories. [1] In June 2024, Al Kubaisi's "Maslahtk" was nominated in the World category for the Hollywood Independent Music Awards. [4]

Khaliji music is the music of Eastern Arabia, the Arab states of the Persian Gulf and it is popular across the Arab world. It is traditionally characterized by heavy use of the rebab, oud and other string instruments such as the violin, the occasional use of habbān, and the inclusion of percussion instruments such as the mirwas, tabl, and duff drums. Khaliji music first started as a bedouin tradition with poetry sung by a tribe's shaa'ir, which means poet, usually accompanied by a rebab, the lyrics dealt with tales of honor, love, camel riders, and glory warriors.

Anta Eshq or Enta Eshq or Enta Ishq is an album by Qatari singer Fahad Al Kubaisi. The album was released on March 8, 2017 on YouTube, iTunes Store and other electronic musical stores. On the 15th of the same month, in the famous Kuwaiti television program "Hamad Show", presented by the television presenter Hamad Al-Ali, known as "Hamad Qalam," Fahad talked about the details of the album and then distributed the album CDs to the audience present for the episode as a surprise to his Kuwaiti audience. Fahad recorded album songs in his studio in Doha and other studios in Bahrain, UAE, Egypt and Turkey. In Turkey, he collaborated with Turkish musicians in recording most of the album's songs as Rouh and Eshtaqt Lek.

Abdullah Al-Salem (Arabic: عبدالله السالم, romanized: eabdallah alssalim. Abdullah Al-Salem was born in 1975, in Doha and lived in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates and Jordan. In Qatar, he held the position of Director of the Doha International Center for Dialogue of Religions.
